Re: Cooling system troubleshooting TD27

So after getting it hot again (3/4 temp) I checked the fan- it was no harder to move than when cold. This is with a brand new water pump and viscous hub attached, what should I do??

Cheers guys, sounds to be all relative with trade offs to be had wherever, might have to keep my eyes peeled and do a side by side comparison during a test drive.

What do I stand to gain?...

Hi fella's, After a couple of recent trips away in the trusty terrano with 2 kids and gear packed to the gunnels, I started thinking about options to upsize the family wagon. Naturally I have been looking into the patrol/safari. Vehicle is used by wifey 3-4 times a week to drive into town and do wha...

Re: Cooling system troubleshooting TD27

Sealant aswell as gasket, that's good I don't think that's the problem then, must be just when it's really working and hot there's not enough flow thru the radiator ? Any other way to make sure that it is pumping?

Re: Cooling system troubleshooting TD27

Might be answering my own question here but if the thermostat had opened like it should then it would make sense that the top hose is hot? And bottome hose cool because it has cooled down before it goes back into the engine? But if it's too cool then waters not actually getting thru, either not bein...

Cooling system troubleshooting TD27

Hi guys, 92 terrano td27 Replaced water pump (almost no fins left on impeller, heater wasn't going, can't have been pumping water) was leaking for a while so it just had water running thru the system. Everything quite rusty. Flushed out radiator with garden hose, new radiator hoses. Replaced thermos...

Re: Calling terrano tyre experts

Just trying to save a few bucks not changing rims, as I need new tyres anyway I thought I'd go with a set of muddies as I'm unlikely to get them halfway thru a set of all terrains. Vehicle is the wife's daily driver and I use it on the farm for firewood etc, camping and hunting- general hack. Probab...

Calling terrano tyre experts

Hi guys, Giving my 92 terrano a bit of a birthday, part of that is new rubber, in need of at least 2 new tyres with the other 2 not far away. Currently got all terrains.- I'm thinking I'll just get a full set of mud tyres and be done. I would like to know what size tyre I can fit and run without any...

I can get over 700km to a tank 2.7 turbo, I think thats pretty good going, I dont push it but I could imagine a non turbo would be frustrating to drive any distance in and id say you would have to forget about towing anything

+1 on the radius arm bushes!
made an incredible difference in my truck. they dont look anywhere near as bad as what they are until you take em off. be prepared to fight those nuts and bolts to get them off though! make sure the thread is clean before you start undoing it and be patient :D

Re: 2wd steering mod for Terrano

id be interested, perhaps you could get sleeves from the wreckers and then do an exchange thing with the kit buyer, e.g x $ off if you give me your original adjusters after install? then again might be easier/cheaper to make them yourself if you had the knowhow.

Re: Brakes dragging after rebuild...

Yea I have jacked it up and can spin the wheels with one hand they will got about a quarter turn after I take my hand off, Im just not sure how much is normal and thought that if the hubs are heating up without even using the brakes it might be a bit excesive?
