Re: Thompson Track
Checked the Matamata councils public notices and it says Thompsons in open till the 17th of Feburary (see http://www.mpdc.govt.nz/news-a-events/80.html) Confirmed this with the council on their facebook page. Apparently the time frame was changed and various 4wd clubs were only informed of the first...

Importing 4WDs and Utes from AUS or JAP
Hi guys, Not really sure what thread to post this in. I have been reading on the NZTA website and from what I can conclude Utes do not have to meet the same frontal impact laws as 4WDs, cars, etc. So I began the search on gumtree.com.au and found several vehicles I'm interested in and could potentia...

Re: 3Y ENGINE is it really that bad?
The particular truck I'm looking at is on 35s but comes with a set of 32s. What diffs could you put in it to run 35s? As aren't the standard petrol ones 4.88s?

Re: 3Y ENGINE is it really that bad?
Yeah I'd be doing it myself are there any other cheaper conversions that are worth it?
I presume a 3y wouldn't like 35s?

Re: 3Y ENGINE is it really that bad?
Cheers guys. Yeah repower is an option but not straight away. For a 1UZ conversion into a YN65 what sort of cost, 4000ish?

3Y ENGINE is it really that bad?
Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a petrol hilux running a 3y big change from the 3.0 turbo diesel navara.
How bad does the 3y perform? Will it cruise at 100km/hr? Also how does it go in low ratio off road? Are they worth looking at or should they just be avoided? Thanks in advance.

This is my first post and here is a photo of my d22 after a good wash, cut, and paint clean. Polish and wax next. It's sitting on -13 offset steels and 265/70/16 AT wranglers. Hope to have some 285's soon.

Hi guys, I'm after a 4wd, preferably a 70 series cruiser, hilux, navara, or surf. I've been traulling through trademe for a fair while now so I thought I'd post up here. Something that is in good condition and needs no to minimal work and is within a few hours of Auckland. Ideally a diesel is what I...
