I agree with the lads above and if its been getting hot it could well have damaged the thermostats life span considerably so replace it well your on the job. none turbo TD27s don't normally build up bugger all heat.

If its fuel problem Those engines have a couple of filters I suggest you change the one you can see where the AA fella was pulling hose off (and blow back towards tank to make sure supply line to filter is clear at same time)and once you have done that use a 17mm socket with exstention and undo the ...

Like you say can get other axles etc for them as well. I've been an automotive engineer for 10yrs going on 15yrs and most diff failures are due to doing something stupid or maintenance issues or more to the point lack of maintenance. Yer they were but they are cheap easy to get and can buy many options for them as far as pozylocks air lockers etc and I like factory setc over modified housings etc done my time with those sorts of things so was time to try something eles and if I'm not happy with it I can get a 44 with next lot of...

At full drop they defanitly touch the shocky dust boots but never the body or shocky steem. They are good done the trick for me but like many others I just wanted more and more and before you know it you find yourself collecting parts to build a SAS.

I now have my truck fully converted so the calmini kit is removed (has been for a couple of months)

Thanks for that... yer its pready small in capacity alright still functanal with baffels fitted. mine is just very close where the sump plug is on the 4wd sump. chop of the bottom section and turn around and move back slightly mite be the winner for me. thanks

Hello firstly must congratulate you on your build very nice... I'm wondering if you have a photo of the 2wd sump conversion you did to increase the diff clearance? mine is very close at this point and thought it would be worth investigating. Thanks

Voltage drop when load comes on can be cased by a dirty battery termanals
Take each termanal off the battery and use some good rough sand paper and polish up the termanals and the inside of the termanal clamp where contacts battery post and refit nice and tight

All good thanks i'm going to run the Dana 30 with a 3 link set up (hopefully) and its always in the back of your mind I hope this still rides ok or at least beta. It should be much more user friendly on those rocky tracks that try and rattle your teeth out

No its the navara style diff i forget its numbers one where diff head is loaded in from the rear. Only navaras ive seen with the terrano diff have been petrols

Firstly well done on all the work so far. I'm curious as to how its road manners are now with new front end? and how does it feel off road?
I'll be doing mine sometime soon just couple of things left to get in.
I have one of the last of the D21 navaras (94/95)and it runs 4.88 diffs stock

Should be the same as most other removals with auto trans. get through access point or through hole left when starter motor removed to the torque converter bolts and undo them. you'l need to drop front diff out to make room for engine to come forward out of the transmission. Hard to know without having a look and listen but have struck one at work that the top hats came lose on the shockies (where they bolt through top plate that bolts into body) could even be the shockies or sway bar ends
