Re: KZJ78 Transfer case wanted
Cheers, Keith. I'll see, Fairly sure the transfer input bearing has gone in mine. Had Rose drive it while up on axle stands and horrible noises emanated from the transfer on the left directly behind the transmission. Local would be good to get the truck ready for Queen's b-day weekend. I'll let you ...

KZJ78 Transfer case wanted
Hi all,
I'm in need of a transfer case for an auto KZJ78. I'm not sure if the manual and auto have the same transfer cases.
Preferably in Canterbury if possible but would consider all options.
Cheers, Phil.

Re: estimate cost of bearing replacement in an 80 series
A bit more info might prompt some useful information. You mention bearing not bearings. So a single bearing? where on the truck? diff, transfer case, manual gearbox, wheel bearing...... Or I suspect you are referring to the standard 80 series big/main bearings replacement that nearly all 80 series o...

G'day, here's another local (Chch) supplier for 6x5.5 stubs and hubs. I can vouch for them as I have used a couple of their sets for my own trailers. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/trailers/trailer-parts-accessories/hubs-hub-kits/auction-1619895084.htm?rsqid=8f2f80d50fbb4c08af941bc77822b18d Regard...

A good reminder that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I'm glad your OK. The truck might have another story in it, but at least you can tell it. Most of us have probably had a near miss that resulted from a "should have known better moment". As long as we learn from...

Re: Best Radiator brand for prado
I did all this almost exactly 12 months ago on a 94 KZJ78 I had already earlier done a water pump and then replaced the thermostat, hoses, rad cap and the fluid with genuine Toyota stuff. I had the radiator cleaned out and new top tank put on and also re-did the viscous fan. If you are doing all thi...

Re: what removes battery acid stains
From what Big has mentioned with an acid based product for cleaning concrete I'm thinking your stain is more than likely the opposite. A clean spot on a dirty driveway.
If so your options would be dirty up the spot or clean the rest of the drive.

Other details that he has not mentioned are, leaf sprung (might be obvious, but still...) and it has RHS front and rear ...

For voltage 1 battery = 12v no other options. Done, have a beer. 2 batteries could be either 12v or 24v Follow the battery cables. If both -ve cables go to the chassis or block the its 12V If one of the -ve terminals goes to the other battery's +ve then its 24v For valves. Google 12 valve and 24 val...

Looking for 1997 TJ wrangler front seats.
Hi all,
I have a colleague at work looking for both front seats for a 1997 TJ wrangler.
Does anyone have any?
Is there any other Jeep model seats that would bolt straight in?
Cheers in advance.
Oh yeah, based in Chch, but would consider out of town also.

Belts can break. The labour would be minimal to fit I would have thought. Have not done a terrano but all the Toyota ones I've done have been a piece of piss. If I bought a truck and there was no air con belt on it I would just sort it myself. I wouldn't be going back to the seller. Its buyer beware...

What vehicle?? someone here might have the same as yours.
Most 4wd's with airbags will disable them when 4wd or 4wd lo is selected.
Better yet leave her at home! I know that's harsh but I couldn't resist.

Re: Kzj78 factory rear diff locker problems
G'day, You need to verify if the locker motor is working for a start. As Kelvin said apply 12v directly to the motor pins, http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/toyota-tacoma/1046797-e-locker-wiring.html. Jack (and axle stand) one wheel up so you can ensure the diff engages when locked. If motor and diff a...

Hi Bill, It has been mentioned at our club meetings more than a few times by a member local to Hanmer that the Rainbow Molesworth is super dry at the moment. You could try a petrol 2.4 out of a 92 navara. I believe it would bolt straight in and no need for a cert.

There is a couple of different ways of specifying the tyre size. 265/70r15 265mm = tyre width 70 = side wall height as a % of the tyre width. in this case 70% 15 is the rim size in inches. Overall diameter = (0.70*(265/25.4))*2+15 = 29.6 inches as Cameron said slighly small than 31" 33x12.5r15 ...
