Terrano Gearbox swap

Hey guys, I'm looking at swapping out the FS5W71C in my D21 for a FS5R30A from a R50. Will the older transfer case bolt on to the later box?

WTB Terrano Gearbox

Evening all, would anyone have a FS5W71C in good working order hiding in the back of there sheds or parts Terrano's? Mine seems to be lacking a lot of third gear and would benefit from a replacement.

Cheers

Looking sh!t hot there mate 8) . I would suggest getting a belly pan under there though, otherwise you'll end up taking half the track home with you. Terrano's like pretending to be graders

Exactly how rusted are the UCA's? Also I know a great home for that panhard rod and the UCA's if they haven't disintegrated

I would say that the rear brakes are toast. They don't really like salt water.

Yeah regarding the dual steering boxes mod - and not to crash the thread - if these cert guys really dont want to play the game, what we need is some LHD steering boxes from the US. Theoretically those puppies should bolt straight on to the idler mounts with no mods required. Or jus  t cover ...

The vid didn't work but if its the noise im thinking of its pretty common as my terrano does it on steep descents, my old Peugeot used to do it backing out of the shed in the morning and my fathers terrano does it anywhere and everywhere  . Not sure how to get rid of it other than maybe new br...

Ok, long story short, the master cylinder failed and was replaced, now I cannot get brake pedal pressure. I have bench bled the M.C. and tried every method of brake bleeding I can find and I still have really poor brakes. I did have the rears working well this morning and average fronts, so re-bled ...

You don't know the half of it mate, the LVVTA system is geared toward scratch built hotrods, not our strenthend 4x4s. The design approval has been away for six weeks now and won't get looked at till mid-January  The whole system is stupid :x :x

Re: 18x1.5 Left Thread Tap = HD Nissan IFS Steering Links $9

Cert is required for the steering box/idler arm mod, im in the process of a design approval for it to become an LVVTA approved modification. Josh's adjusters can't be cert'd without a design approval and an engineers certificate.

Hey guys, as the title suggests the old 'rano handbrake has failed another WOF. I have been thinking of doing away with the drum setup and going for a conventional rear caliper. Hey kiwiginga, if its lacking power start with the basics. : Ditch the EGR : Open up the airways ( intake & exhaust ) : Check the valve clearances : Maybe get the injectors checked? : More boost? ( not sure whats safe with the WLT ) : Keep it above 2000 rpm these motors don't like to lug Cheers ...
