Re: issues (pajero 3.5 dohc)

I had an issue with my Pajero and it wasn't firing one of the coils ( which meant two cyls weren't firing). Ended up being the crank sensor trigger plate had a slight bend causing it to contact the edge of the sensor which caused interference in the crank sensor output. Mine didn't have a fault code...

5x 31x10.5r15 with rims

Set of five wheels and tyres. The wheels are factory L200 4wd wheels but are a typical 6 stud pattern so fit most common makes and models. Two of the tyres are near new 90% tread as pictured, the other two only have about 15% life left I would guess, still legal though. The spare tyre is pretty stuf...

F/S Mitsi pajero 3.5v6 manual, SWB, Tauranga

Up for sale is my 3.5 v6 manual SWB Pajero. Awesome truck, goes anywhere. Set up perfectly for a multi purpose club truck. Has done about 230k's. Engine runs mint, heaps of grunt. Interior is in good condition. Has the head unit pictured and some kind of aftermarket speakers in factory positions (so...

Re: Sliders- weld or bolt

The picture above of (2-1 external projections) is the evidence. Lvvta cert is required UNLESS SPECIFIED BELOW. then it goes on to say that for auxiliary bars if the vehicle is not required to meet frontal impact laws then it is sweet. You could have an external roll cage without a cert too if you w...

Re: Sliders- weld or bolt

Just to clarify, if your vehicle is not required to meet frontal impact laws (ie most vehicles pre 2000's without airbags) then you DO NOT need to cert WELDED on sliders! There's no right or wrong way to do it, I welded mine on cos it was easier than making brackets to bolt it on. Do it however you ...

Re: Bolt or welding to chassis

Either way you will need a cert for a manual conversion, but less hassle for cert if you bolt It. Some things you can weld depending on the vehicle ie rock sliders on an older vehicle can be welded.

Re: my 4Runner is running on 3 cylinders

You need to identify what cylinder it's missing on, then I would swap components from that cylinder with a different one and see if you can 'move' the problem. Change the spark plug and try again, if it's still the same cylinder then move the lead and try again, then move injector, and if it's still...

Definitely don't get the gdi motor, and be prepared to use lots of fuel! Awesome motors though, heaps of grunt, lack a bit of torque at low revs on the road though.

Re: turbo upgrade on pajero

Why do want/need a bigger turbo? You'd be far better to add an intercooler, exhaust, wind boost and fuel up and make the most of what you've got. If you put a bigger turbo on you'd be silly not to do these things anyway so why not of it first and see how it goes. Standard turbo should be good for a ...

Re: 3.5 pajero fast idle?

The computer will have self adjusted to allow for the build up in the throttle body, so now you have cleaned it out it will idle high.. Disconnect your battery for a few minutes and then reconnect and try again.

Re: Cert rules mean 33x12.5 tyre won't pass on 15x8 wheel

Just don't cert it for the wheels. Put standard sized wheels and tyres on for the cert and change afterwards. If you didn't have other items requiring cert then you wouldn't take it in just to cert the wheels and tyres would you.....

Re: Fitting boost compensator to non turbo hilux pump

Once you take the throttle cable wheel bit off (the bit that you had on the wrong spline originally) you can just push that shaft down and it will come out of the top hat. Then when you lift the top off keep pushing it in and it will stay behind still connected via the spring. When you go to put the...
