looks good what are the automatic zuks like for off-road compared to the manual ones?? I find the auto very good off road, especially stop starts on rutted out hill climb's, an playing in soft sand you want to keep moment up. the lower ratio diff's complement the auto trans being that the manual ha...

Re: Lockright or Spartan into Vitara Question for Suzuki Exp
Iv'e fitted a Spartan in the rear diff of a 1600 Vitara an know my mate fitted one in his V6 as well but from memory the V6 had a 1600 diff head with the lower gearing.. However Iv'e had a lockrite 1510 in my truck now for around a year an a half an it has not missed a beat, one of the best mods yet...

Re: A question for the Samurai, SJ's enthusiast's
From memory (could be wrong), Hilux axles are almost the same width of the vitara rears if that helps. From memory hilux are like 20mm narrower (could be wrong), an the stronger option but it would be a complicated SAS being non suzuki bolt patterns, drive shaft, diff ratio's an im a first timer at...

Re: A question for the Samurai, SJ's enthusiast's
you can bolt a vitara front diff head Straight into a 413 or Samurai front diff housing . most people swap the vitara R&P into a 413 3rd member to get a steel housing and 4pinion centre . but this requires a spacer ring as the the vitara ring gear has a greater ID than the 413. to use cromo axl...

Hi, Have got CrMo axles and CV's for the Samurai if required, there are supposed to be more than 1 3/4 times as strong as standard ones. See http://www.4wdstuff.co.nz/front-and-rear-axle/suzuki-samurai-rock-assault-33-spline-front-axle-kit-trail-gear Need some 26 spline side gears or locker with 26...

Re: A question for the Samurai, SJ's enthusiast's
Vit front diff gears will fit all 1.3 SJ/Samurai centers. The only strength difference I can think of is in the front diff 413's have a 4 pinion center and Samurais have 2 pinion. Found a good info thread with widths etc. http://www.suzukiclubuk.co.uk/forum1/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2801 Strength w...

A question for the Samurai, SJ's enthusiast's
I have a question in regards to the front axle track width difference between the SJ413 an the Samurai, From what i can find in a on-line search is that the Samurai is defiantly wider but supportively weaker an will not accept the Vitara R&P gear in there front diff head's but the SJ413 will acc...

Re: 4age black top engine adaptor plate for 1600 vitara auto
Don't mean to rain on your idea, but it'd probably be cheaper to stick a SR20 and 4wd wingroad box in it then get a 4age to bolt up to a vitara box. And yes... I do mean mounting it east west like it is in the wing road and just getting the inner axles cut and swapped over. Cheers for your input.. ...

4age black top engine adaptor plate for 1600 vitara auto
Hi Guy's i have just bought a 16v vitara for a beach buggy project to be towed behind on a A-frame. Unfortunatly the radiator hose split whilset out playing in the soft sand, we did not pick up on the problem untill it was too late. So instead of a engine rebuilding the G16a an turboing it we want t...

Re: Samurai winch/bull bar options
I would recommend one of Woody's bumper's, I have one on my truck.
Woody's bumper's looks really good, are strong an have saved my panel's on more then one occasion out on the tough tracks!!
Mounting my winch too the bumper was a breeze too..

Re: Tyre size difference between Simex an Silverstone extrem
Not sure on the 31" sizing, but a few years ago the 35" sizing had the simex at 35.5 and the silverstone at 34.75. This has been rectified and they are now identical, so possibly its the same deal with your situation especially so if you have older silverstones ;-) If that's the case it s...

Tyre size difference between Simex an Silverstone extremes
Hi all, I'm trying to find the true height of the simex tyre 31x10.5 as i have been researching around an finding they are almost close to a 33, something like 32.4 inch roughtly, I am running the 31x10.5 r16 silverstone an they seem to be quite small.. From what i've heard the V6 is a wee bit longer then the 1600 in length, I assume its obviously to compensate for the wider track width.. Re: T-case rockcrawler gear's
Didn't have them in my escudo, but one of the guys in the club did and run 33s no worries, the only thing he complained of was that the crawler gears didn't alter high range, so road driving was a pain and his 1.6 struggled. The v6 might be ok though? Very Interesting mate, Do you know if he broke ...

Anyone got rock crawling low gearing in there transfer case, or have they been in a vitara running these gear's. How low do use find the gearing an what tyre size ya running.. They offer some serious reduction, i'm think even on 33's they will still be geared low enough to spin the 33's...? Any feed...
