On the front you definitely need anti inversion shackle stops, especially if you extend the shackles. I wouldn't recommend using longer shackles in the front unless you want even more vague steering.

Re: 60 series diffs
I just need bare empty housings, the rear needs to be a fully floater. And it would appear I need 2 empty front housings. Maybe we're going to build a 6wd skid.

60 series diffs
Hi guys does anyone have a 60 series fully floating rear(no diff head required) that they want to swap for a 40 series one. An empty housing would do as I have 2 40 series floaters as parts. Also i'm after an empty front hsg aswell. Preferably north island.

My van has a leak in the same place , I've traced it to the tappet cover gasket leaking oil down the back of the block.

Re: Need advice on 80 suspension lift
That's them It's a quick and easy way to solve your clearance problems, and get caster angles right. As for ground clearance your right you'll lose a bit but that may only be a problem when going backwards. I guess you could make slider ramps and weld them onto the chassis just behind the mount.

Re: Need advice on 80 suspension lift
I have seen a kit that drops the chassis end of the radius arm. It used a bolt on bracket that went between the chassis mount and arm. That levelled every thing up.

I have the later mod rotors and callipers on the front of my 80 but left the back alone because I wanted to run 15'' rims. I cant say that I noticed any difference in braking performance with the change. The biggest help was putting in the cheapest pads I could buy and bending the brake bias rod (th...
