Ring 0800 Brakes.
They are the only people in NZ (I Think) that swage there brake lines. The rest use screw together fittings.
You can also send them your bake hoses, they will make the longer ones how ever long you want, then send them back.

Re: new to this game
The BMW shocks fit strait in, no modifying of any type, they just bolt in. You have to get e30 bmw shocks, they can be from a 318, 320, or 325 as long as there from an e30 model. Make sure you get the nuts from the top pin of the shocks as they are a differnt size to zook ones and quite hard to get,...

Re: Smokey Escudo V6
Hey Churchill After a couple of very busy weeks I had a go at sorting the smoky V6 today. I got a brass pushfit hose tail fitting and drilled a hole in the oil filler cap. I screwed the fitting into the hole, and attached a length of vacuum hose going from the fitting in the oil filler cap to the va...

Vitara Clutch adjustment
Hey all Another question On the weekend I changed my G/Box and T/Case fluid. GL-4 75w90 with a bit of Moreys in there for good measure. I thought I would adjust the clutch aswel because sometimes its hard to get into first when stopped. Question is, when adjusting a clutch that's not stuffed, but no...

Re: Smokey Escudo V6
Thats the one, 2L V6 Just did a quick search on auszookers too and in an old thread someone suggested blocking up breather on that bank and tapping a pushfit fitting into the oil filler cap and running the breather hose to that. I'll try with the air gun and see what he wants to do, its his 1st car ...

Re: Smokey Escudo V6
Thanks Churchill,
I was hoping it would be something like that, thats the same bank as the oil filler cap, do you think its worth running some engine flush through and blasting it with compressed air to see it thats the prob or is it pretty common and just needs to be done?

Smokey Escudo V6
Hi all My flatmate has just bought a 96 2L V6 Escudo with 130,000kms on it. When he bought it, it seemed fine, but after having it home for a couple of days it blew quite a bit of smoke out the back on start up. Still drove fine, didnt do it for the next few starts but then a few days later billowed...

Gearbox oil, Vitara
Hey all
Anyone have a suggestion for good gear box oil that doesn't cost the earth.
I have used Red Line in other cars and I know its awesome and I use it in the front diff but its expensive as hell!
After something that will make it shift smooth as butter.
