Re: QD32T Boost Compensator
Guys: I have a QD32T engine (QD32ETI but swapped the IP from a TD27T) the IP comes with a boost compensator as show in the following pic: TD27T_IP.JPG However I have no idea where does the boost compensator connect to (red circle in the pic), I know it should connect to the turbo/intake somehow, bu...

Re: TD27T RPM Wiring for Navara
I have put a TD27T out of a Terano into a D21 Navara and looking for some info on wiring up the Rev counter. The original rev counter came off the alternator I think and this one comes off the injector pump. Anyone know how to wire this up? Cheers The sensor in the TD27 run off the oil pump gear, T...

Re: QD32 into WD21 questions
Found it at the wreckers in Albany, had a faulty Injector pump / injectors and was blowing tuns of smoke, picked it up for $220. Its a N/A qd32 which is what I wanted for the 6 bolt transmission. I also have a spare working terrano I picked up for $300 which is what I used for injector pump, turbo a...

Re: QD32 into WD21 questions
Can't see why not, but td27 one reads off oil pump gear doesn't it? td27 sensor on injector gear is for the EGR computer. Like what your planning to do. Have also read somewhere you can strap that sensor to an injector line to get rpm. Not an expert however. If your plan doesn't work just bung your...

Re: 1991 Terrano TD27T Intake Manifold Removal
Yes, should be pretty straight forward. just need to take of all manifold bolts and wiggle past the injector lines. Is the fuel coming from the injectors or the injector pump? There is only 3 fuel lines, and if any of them should be able to see and replace without removing the manifold. Here are som...

Re: QD32 into WD21 questions
Hi, I am also in the process of putting a qd32 turbo engine in my 92 terano. With the engine RPM sensor swapping from the td27 to the qd32 am i right to just drill and tap a thread into the spot on the side of the timing cover? is there anything else i would have to do? any special distance? I have ...

Re: Nissan Terrano 1992 Electrical Problem
The voltage going to wire i was using has dropped to around ~2volts. That sounds like a problem. Yes, just don't know where all that power comes from. Obviously has lots of different controls you would think they would have a Fuse for it. Tried starting my car today (it's a bit cold) tool ages to s...

Nissan Terrano 1992 Electrical Problem
Hi all, I had some daytime running lights hooked up to a unused relay plug under the bonnet so they came on with ignition. The daytime running lights have shorted out and now there is a bunch of items that aren't working. The RPM gauge does not move, the battery, A/T oil temp, and fuel light are all...

Air Conditioning Bearings - Terrano TD27T 1992
Hi all, My bearings in my airconditioner have started to be so noisy i can hear them in the cabin. I'm not sure on how to replace them, I did take the belt off, and removed the 10mm bolt from the front of the unit but nothing would come apart. I tried prying with a pry tool and hitting it with a ham...

Re: rano tranny
It's a bitch, youll have have the remove that rear cover from the bottom from there you can gain more access. The starter motor hole was too small to fit anything in. i used a 6 point socket, ground down small enough to fit in and welded a flat bar with a bend it in. you can just get it on, then got...

Don't know why im getting such bad fuel economy.

So A/R.50 Intake and A/R.64Exhaust? Yeah its just a standard TD27T, well non ETI so no afm.. I have put the inter-cooler on, and running straight through 2.5" exhaust. I did buy a T25/T28 turbo to fit but was too big. It compressor housing would hit the exhaust manifold even with the heat shrou...

Re: r50 qd32 fuel consumption
pump on with 12mm plunger and running a T28 garrett at 8 psi daily and 20-25 psi on weekends and still get atleast 600 kms from 70 litres.
So, do you change the fuel between 8psi and 20psi?
Which exact turbo do you have? Is it good all through the rev range?

Re: r50 qd32 fuel consumption
I have a TD27T, Was getting ~12L Per 100km standard.
Have been playing with fuel, 18PSI EGT's at 550~Degrees. Goes pretty fast but have been getting 20L Per 100KM
So roughly ~450KM for 80L tank

Bought myself a T28 turbo, It has the hose connectors instead of the flanges, The top outlet hose would be tight up against the exhaust manifold and couldn't get the bolts in. The bit that says "turbo" is the cross over pipe!
A valve is an internal engine component, you have 8 in the td27, 4 exhaust and 4 intake.
