Re: ln106 transfer case question

Yeah it really is. This is on top of bloody Repco giving me the wrong oil filter so the girlfriend had to go fetch me the right one and drive out here with it. And I ripped me favourite shorts! Cheers for the advice mate, I'm off up to the local garage to see if they can get the filler plug ou...

ln106 transfer case question

Allo all, So doing an oil change this morning on my '91 ln106 2.8 Surf before having coffee, bit bleary eyed and took the drain plug out of the transfer case instead of the sump. Realised what I'd done and shoved it back in quick smart but some oil did drain out. Pushed for time as we're heading off...

Re: Toyota Cruiser parts f/s plus pintle hook and tyres

Man that is not an easy turbo to find info on! Do you know what it came off originally? Hey Taz, no idea mate, I picked it up a while ago as it is. Guy had it on a 3B in a BJ40 that he was breaking. I'll have a look too, I did find info at the time I bought it and I think it was using the SK603 cod...

Doors any good? Looking for some to cut down. Is the bonnet okay? That's if you have some to dispose of  Heath Hey Heath, I'm not intending to break the 60. Once things are settled with the insurance, it is definitely being written off, depending on the salvage value they quote me I may bu...

Re: Toyota Cruiser parts f/s plus pintle hook and tyres

Could be interested in turbo but I see it doesn't have a wastegate, how does that work? I'm really not sure I'm afraid, from having a read around it's not always the case that a wastegate is used in lower power applications but I'm certainly no turbo expert. I bought this a while back to stick on m...

Hey guys, yeah I did try starting it in gear quite a few times but it's still refusing to disengage. Once this rain stops I'll have a look at the slave cylinder.
Thanks for the advice all.

Re: Gear select issue after standing: Land Rover

sounds like the clutch plate has rusted to the flywheel. have you tried starting the engine in gear, with your foot down on the clutch? this can free it up, so can towing it in gear, foot on clutch with ignition off - a bit rough but it works. otherwise its gearbox out. Hey Weemsy, yeah I did try t...

Also want to make sure when I'm out fishing or hunting in it that I get home again safely. Mainly plann...

Re: Bye bye Fj40, hello LandRover-some parts and advice need

didn't people used to put a pair of rover 90 car diffs in these to increase the road speed as well? might be worth a look. Yes, Standard series LR is 4.7:1 Rover 90 car was 3.9:1 ratio. Early Range Rover and front 110 are 3.54:1 all have the 10-spline axles so straight swap. There other aftermarket...
