Re: Nissan Terrano R50 TD27 Smoking
How many KM has the motor done? is it using any coolant? (probably not, but i have to ask) If not, the white smoke usually means excess fuel. I have seen white/gray smoke on a TD27 that had a blocked air intake tract, it was being starved of air, so hence mixtures were real rich. However, given tha...

Nissan Terrano R50 TD27 Smoking
Hi. My 1995 Terrano TD27 has started to get a little harder to start and is blowing white/blue smoke when revving while in park. It has always started first time but now might take a second attempt. The main issue is that while I’m parked and start slowly reviving I’m getting clouds of white/slight ...

95 Terrano Sunroof Removal
Discovered some minor rust in the metal surrounding the glass that I want to remove before it get too bad. Its in the frame that moves with the glass and not the truck body work itself. Can anyone give my some advice for removing the sunroof. Does the whole thing have to come out, or can I just remo...

Re: Weird Electric Window Problems
My R50 was doing the same thing when I brought it. It had a dodgy alternator which upset the electronics in the drivers window switch. All other windows worked perfect except the drivers. UPDATE: Had the alternator tested and although it was still producing about 14.4V when revving there seemed to ...

Re: Weird Electric Window Problems
Gidday - I had a similar problem with a D21 terrano... I also had to open and close the door before it would work ?!? Turned out to be a faulty electric window motor... My windows on my 80 series also get slower in the wet, think its to do with the rubbers swelling... I think they are replaceable, ...

Weird Electric Window Problems
1995 Nissan Terrano, TD27eti I have recently noticed the the drivers door electric window is acting up. After starting up and driving down the road I am able to open the window and close it only ONCE. As soon as I try to adjust it again after the first time, nothing happens. That is until I stop (mo...

Re: Diff Whine - 1995 Terrano R50 with a TD27eTi
i have brought a few diffs/diffheads and never had a problem. You can pick up a terrano diffhead for about $200, much easier than having to replace all the bearings etc, best of all you can do it at home with couple of jackstands and a good socket set. i would offer you one of mine, but the one i h...

Re: Diff Whine - 1995 Terrano R50 with a TD27eTi
Anyone have experience with getting hold of a second hand diff head and replacing your existing one. Do you think it's too risky to buy second hand? What about the sawdust or banana trick. Is this for real or just an urban myth???

Diff Whine - 1995 Terrano R50 with a TD27eTi
Has anyone had experience with diagnosing and repairing a rear diff whine? The whine starts up around 55km and gets progressively worse when getting up to speed on the open roads. It's not too loud. With the radio on at normal volume you can only just hear it. More annoying than anything. As soon as...

Re: Fuel Leak - 95 Terrano TD27T
I've had success in replacing the o-ring around the outer diameter of the bung. With correct socket its easy to remove (is very tight, so can't imagine it coming undone without 3point socket) Did you have to remove the pump first? I'm just wondering if the plug can be serviced while the pump is sti...

Re: Fuel Leak - 95 Terrano TD27T
Thank you for all the advise and info guys! I spent some time yesterday degreasing the area, then using compressed air to further clean and dry everything. With an inspection mirror and torch, while someone started the truck I am now 99.999% sure that its coming from the plug o-ring/seal. I don't ha...

Fuel Leak - 95 Terrano TD27T
Hi guys. Newbie here, so go easy  I'm 99% sure I have fuel leaking from the plug (adjustment nut??) that lies in between the fuel lines where they attach to the injector pump. (See blue arrow on attached photo. Note: This is a borrowed sample photo and not my 'actual' pump). It is leaking arou...
