Pajero 2007 SWB, running board
Hi, currently looking for a left hand (passenger side) running board. My one was a bit stuffed when out in the hills a month back. Beyond repair. Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: Rhino Rack Ripoff
Just saw this post. I recently had fitted a Rhino Pioneer Tradie rack as pictured on this thread for NZ$1039.00 from Opposite Lock 4WD in Chch. Plus riviting of rails onto my Pajero & labour. But the Tradie Rack though imported from Aussie seemed to be the standard price at the moment from other...

Re: getting a chipped key cut
Miti dealers charge about $400.00 in Chch for a new chip key cut. I just want a 3rd key as another spare and doesn't matter if the cheaper cuts don't have the auto door remote but what about any immobilizer/alarm to get around?

Re: Pajero 2007 3 door 3.0 litre petrol auto - timing belt
I am doing the transmission/oil & filter/fluids this Fri as i have just purchased and see the service sticker for 78,500k. It is the timing belt i cannot quite figure as the vehicle is an import from new. Guess there may be some pulley bearings recommended to change too? I will purchase a serviv...

Pajero 2007 3 door 3.0 litre petrol auto - timing belt
What do others thinks with the first timing belt change - some say 90,000 or is 105,000km. Haven't the service manual at hand. And seen a cost of $2100.00 for extensive service quoted! What's rcommended at this mileage coming up? Currently sitting at 79,000km.Appreciate any feedback.

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Just for info, fitted extended rear & front diff beathers using what i was told was universal Ironman kit for my vehicle. Not quite really. Initially removed my rear factory diff breather and replaced with the Ironman brass fitting. Then noticed the smaller internal diameter of the Ironman brass...

wanted stone guard for trailer
Looking gor a stone guard - steel mesh type for my Briford 8x4.5 trailer. When towing behind my 4wd on gravel roads, alot of stones seem to get past my mud flaps and giving my trailer the once over!

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Appears the Korando's have been quite popular for off road in South Africa, to a lesser extent Australia. Quite a few in Europe including the UK. The Aussies seem to have quite a few parts for the Korando 3.2 petrol and 2.9 diesel - after market clutches, rear OE coil springs, front shock absorbers....

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Forgot to update last year about my diff issue. No bloody water at all in the diff - it blew while i was towing my quad - oil all over the road. Seal went but still don't know why it blew? Earlier diagnois by mechanics was incorrect - water, yeah not! Replaced it with an expensive new Dayna diff las...

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Noticed some diff oil venting out of the breather hose today. Looking closer, oil appears as it should, i.e not discoloured. Had been in the hills earlier and crossed some small creeks but nothing deep at all? It was the few drops on the garage floor and splatter on the trailer tow bar that caught m...

Re: mudstuck/scarles awesome service
Any further updates on the Mudstuck winches? Looking at one for my ATV - been NZ made/assembled and water proof is the main thing for me. My previous imported one crapped out years ago through water leaking into the housing and corrosion. I guess you get what you paid for?

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Korando is made by SsangYong. Just a pity that my vehicle being 2005 has only a drivers airbag which is odd for something not that old. Tint was already there by the previous owner - done by Tint-a-Car 0800 846822 according to the log book. Only real main accessorie for me was the imported snorkel w...

Re: Recovery Tracks
Thanks for the replies. I have purchased some TM ramp cheapies - look like a copy of the Ridge Ryder? ($78.00 pr). Mainly for my Polaris Ace quad as I have some boggy bits to cross and the quad at 387 kgs dry weight with stock tyres( narrower than I would like), the ramps are my back up plan. No tre...

Aside from Ridgerider and Tred recovery plastic ramps, are those cheaper ones on TM (copies I guess) any good for both 4WD and ATV's? Have doubts on their longevity and taking the punishment but I suppose you get what you pay for?

Stainless Steel mesh for Quad grille WTB
Currently looking for a sheet approx. 600mm x 400mm, holes size about 3-5mm to make a grille to fit in front of the radiator on a Polaris Ace quad. Current quad grille is a plastic type material that won't stop sticks/crap etc poking through. Been to quite a few steel fabricators/vehicle dismantlers...

Got use to the temp gauge getting up there but made sure things like the water pump, thermostat, belts, coolant, radiator and oil were well ser...

Replaced the original front shocks due to too much bounce, with Monroe Adventures. Went for a drive, heaps more control in the rough and better cornering at speed on the highway.

Did bottom out on the way out when the front left wheel slipped into a deep rut leaving the rear right wheel up high! ( I was crossing...

Re: Snorkel Head, Which way to point
Also interesting that many factory intakes are inside the front guards and on my old Nissan Mistral faced rearwards. On Korando 4x4 2.9 td, they face across the vehicle behind the front grille. I suspect Hilux's are the same inside the guard facing rearwards? My snorkel generally faces forward and o...

Re: Korando 2.9 litre diesel
Got rid of the original bash plate - too much ventilated and was worried about sharp things getting through! Replaced with one piece 3mm mild steel and taken back to the front drive shaft, 6 bolts though bit concerned about two bolt heads that may get the bash! Maintains front lowest point 215mm gro...
