Mechanic in CHCH to Install Auber EGT and Water Temp
Hi guys, I am just holidng myself together as I am fuming. I have tried 2 "reputable 4wd mechanics" to install my Auber gauges. Both have told me it will be done in "x" amount of time and for "x" amount of dollars, and then I call up asking if I can pick up (as it shoul...

Yeah I was interested in that one, but like you say it's know exactly a Defender. He seems to not be too keen for me to get it inspected which seems odd immediately. Probably ridden with rust and all sorts

Hi all, I am interested in what EGT's you are getting with your 1KZ's? I have a 1996 KZN185 with a 2.5 straight through exhaust pushing 33's, plus a roof cage/lightbar/awning etc. On a normal day (ie: just me in the truck and no gear), my EGT's are as follows. WANTED on Behalf: DEFENDER 110 or 90
Hi all,
A friend of mine is currently after a Land Rover Defender 110 or 90 (not overly fussy). He has a budget of around 20-25k (but anything below that obviously considered!), and is happy to travel anywhere in NZ to purchase.
PM me if you have, or know of one, for sale
Thanks

Re: Approximate value of a Defender?
If you are up to it there's a 110 on TM now that requires welding repairs to firewall or replacement. I would suspect any vehicle in mid 90's at that price will require some work, so yes your budget will be a little unrealistic if you are not prepared to spend additional funds for accessories or re...

Approximate value of a Defender?
Hi guys,
I am in the market for a Defender (not overly fussy whether it's a 110 or 90), however I have a limited budget of up to about 16k. Is this a realistic price to pick up a tidy mid 1990's one for? Or am I being entirely unrealistic?
Cheers

Thanks for all the input guys - much appreciated!
In terms of the Prado radiator, @floatingkiwi, does that just slot in where the factory radiator sits in the 185's? Are the factory thermostats in the 195's 82 deg ones?
Cheers!
