Rattly rear calipers GQ
Howsit, I bought some aftermarket rear calipers for my GQ Safari, and they work absolutely awesome, whole new braking abilities. However, they rattle around like a bastard on the top slide pins. Most annoying at 50-60km/h. Ive tried packing with ngcl 3 grease (thick stuff). My next train of thought ...

Oh yea that's good intel there cheers. Maybe I look at replacing the rubber lines.
We have a 89 safari Lwb at work and the brakes on that compared to my 91 swb are like 6 times better. Mechanic informs me that it has a new alternator? So maybe the vacuum is more betterer

Unbalanced brakes gq swb
Howsit team, Just tonight whilst washing off vehicle, I could smell hot brake smell and as soon as water got near rear left rim it steamed up! Took wheel off and rotor has the unmistakably blue streak around it. Took caliper off to free up sliders and removed piston to give a light sanding as was sl...

yeah, its a mongrel - fought with stainless a lot, even the tiniest amps and it still bends and twists.
So what does the inside of your manifold look like? is there a diffuser in there? have been googling and stuff - see a lot of manifolds with curved back

Yeah roger that. Got a fair bit of work to fit it yet. Especially to fit front radiator, remove cross member and bonnet latch assembly. Fit new pin lock latches. Decide if 2" body lift to fit intercooler under hood, or cut hole in bonnet to fit under. Decisions decisions

Hey team, As the title suggests I know nothing about turbos. Although I've been driving around in my nissan safari td42 turbo for a year (bout it all setup) I don't know if this is a big one medium or small? The boost maxs out at 1.0/1.2 bar at that point EGTs are climbing rapidly and it's time to b...

Hey team, I want to move my batteries to the rear of my SWB GQ Safari, to free up more space under the bonnet for future enhancements. Hey mate, I'm curious which hoses did you block off for rear heater. My heater hoses from thermostats follow tappet cover and go into firewall there, but then it Tees off on the bottom to below brake master cylinder. I blew a hose there under brakes and have since had the heater hoses in a loop so n...
