Yup sounds like sticking hub. In the olden times you would have to reverse off them. 93 shouldn't be an issue though. Tearing them down isn't hard and if they haven't been done since 93, probably overdue. yeah id emagine they havent been ever considered... so whats involve a strip n clean or replac...

hubs have a large nut with AUTO and LOCK on them... they are and allways have been in auto...???

so as above in this case on a 93 Safari... why and what is the loud crack I keep heairing from the front hub area when... decending under heavy engine braking ???
it sounds like omething breaking but all works ok, its been doing it a lot and as I said ONLY under heavy decents...

that was awesome... the nevis and crickle town the best, nothing too tricky best part on the garston side serpintine slow going at times the dodgyest part was the last gate and the swamp crossing after it to the church... water up to the wind screen but to my surprise no traction issues... loving th...

I thought with newish glenthorp owners (scottish) there was no access... like 2 years ago he bulldosed the huts and native plants that were planted 30yrs ago this comes from a nabour who planted them way back.

Its boggy in places, if you can't see the bottom of some of the waterholes perhaps best avoid them - they have decent ruts in the bottom. Id go through on my own cautiously but then again I know the track. true that... I have a bit of gear inc winch etc so if the weathers been good... she be right ...

Yes its a local track, and its Serpentine :) . There are 3 was to get to it, but the one from Millers Flat is a bit rougher, probably pay to take a 2nd vehicle. Rough as in rocky steep or as in swampy and muddy? Im a safari and am looking at doing it alone... what ya reckon if weather has been good?

Would've thought to be the same as the rest of em, pry the centre panel out of the top and you"ll see a big nut staring at ya. same... but peeping in under the center panel you can see its screwed in from behind, or should the hole thing pop out then you un screw, it looks like its this screw ...

bloody hell... surely its not that hard LOL, so the padded center thing has blown out the sides so I need to get it off to tidy up, but it looks fixed from behind and I cant see how ya get to the fixing... help a safarian out guys???

td27t pump ?? you mean td42t pump or it has the plunger out of a td27 pump? ahhh... yeah iv just had it rebuilt as it lost pressure now the place that did the job said it had TD27T printed on the pump... the difference being the turbo pump has an extra boost pressure thing on it... how much is TD27...

hang on... how can a black top be weaker.. its a factory turbo engine, ie... lower compresion, stronger rods etc... ya got me there???

re pump... its a reconed TD27T pump with 1/4 turn richer...

50psi... surley that blow the head clean off?

ok... here we have a silver top non turb TD42 with a Garret fitted up thanks to AXT...
just wired up a boost gauge and its pushing bout 8psi, it runs well but was expecting 12ish... whats a safe recommendation people... what do others run their PSI boost at?

ok so what and were is the best spot to run wires through the fire wall on a safari...
in this case its for a boost and etg usualy I run them round the door but thats a tad untidy, and theres already a bunch doing that.
