fuel sensor wiring issue
the surf body that is on my truck is a newer model than the chassis and the old fuel tank only had 2 wires coming from it. the body has 3 wires coming from it. i want the low fuel light so i swapped the fuel sensor and wired it up matching the factor colour wires and got nothing. got the volt meter ...

so almost back in nz and about to start this swap. what all do i need to disconnect? body bolts, wiring, streering, waterlines to heater/radiator, fuel lines where they connect to filter, break, clutch, accelerator cables what else am i missing? next question. while the body is off is there anything...

You also said u dont know how to lift off. When i done my chassis swap we jacked the body up high enough to get some big wooden beams between chassis and body then just got a few of the boys around and lifted the beams onto 44galion drums. Then we just rolled the chassis out from under the body. I ...

not sure of the diff ratio. im not at home either so i cant check. its a chassis from a hilux. and its pretty high. these are the 35 it has on at the moment (i havent driven the truck yet). but they are bald so looking to get some new ones and thinking of the right size.

35's with standard 2.8l surf
just wondering if the standard 2.8l surf engine will have the grunt to get a set of 35's rolling. not to interested in being able to spin them on pavement or anything. i always have 4low. more just peoples thought on driving around town and the likes.

sso the full story. i got the truck of trademe and the guy told me that it was a surf on a hilux chassis. i was and still am in canada at the time of buying it so i didnt really look at it as well as i should off. lesson learnt i think. anyways the body seems to have a bit of rust all along the top ...

im not sure of the exact model because i got the truck of someone else. he says its a mid 80s beam axle chassis. it currently needs the rear mounting brackets welded on.
