also: can anybody tell me which years are compatible? Ie can I use a 09 LSD or is it best to just order the defect parts from Nissan and replace those instaed of the whole Diff?

I can tell you one thing though, if you do rebuild it, use BD30 rods and pistons or aftermarket pistons and rods, the zd30 runs the largest gudgeon pin size vs smallest piston mass of any nissan engine with the qd32 following close behind. the effect the fastest heat saturation point...reach that p...

ordered and installed!!! I did get the forefront ind. one which arrived pretty quick after we'd agreed on courier, OZ GST off, etc..
Installed easily, with a few tweaks on my truck. Thanks a lot for the info and safe trucking.

Hi Tweake, thanks for your reply. Yeah really a bit incomplete without an IC (Nissan probably aimed for a certain pricebracket and omitted the IC in favour of a slightly lower endprice). I have seen these for sale on eg 4wd bits and just wanted to find out if someone has put one in and what the result is: more power?, less fuel consumption?, do you need to /can u chip tune it on top of that?, effects long term engine life?, .... ie is it worth putting in?

Ok done. I pulled it all out, gave it a clean and grease up and put it back in. Although, when I press some grease into the nipple it squirt out from underneath the rubber (yeah, go on, have a laugh!!!) forwards of the link/joint. I can't quite think that's normal. any thoughts?

OK, now that I've identified the part, what could be wrong with it, how do I find that out and how do I repair it? tester said (on WOF sheet) that it needs adjusting.
