Ld28 Flywheel WTB

Anyone have an LD28 Flywheel, the closer to southland the better, Pulled the engine out of my Kingswood and it only has a flywheel and clutch for a 2 litre in it which explains why it slipped every chance it got, especially with a turbo hanging off the motor the clutch shop was surprised it lasted t...

Re: Hilux windscreen swap anyone done one?

Got to talking to the guys at Novus in Winton about it one day and they use piano wire to poke through between the windscreen and frame, then just pull it back and forth to cut the glue but the wire does heat up and break if you work it to hard. Have tried it myself on a Puegot windscreen and it wor...

Re: got an 80... now where to begin

Mate couldn't agree with you more on the manual conversion as instead of a conversion I just sold my auto 80 and bought a manual one but its great to know if the starter craps out or anything else a manual is a lot easier to get home, but that said the auto was great when following behind another tr...

Re: What tube size for bullbars

thanks for all the help guys, there going on my 80 series landcruiser and will eventually end up attached to side rails down to rocksliders and to the deck so was thinking 2 inch would(46mm) would work for everything,

I might have to start a build thread as there is a lot planned for it

Re: What tube size for bullbars

do you find the 3mm sting enough and how hard was it to work with?

Am wanting to do a sort of copy of an XROX bar but with headlight hoops, have just ordered a new cheep winch for it that will eventually end up under the deck and replaced with a better one after the ute chop

cheers

Another thing you could use for flares is baler belt, its holds really well and depending on what baler it came out of you can get a fairly wide belt. A local tractor dealers workshop could have some old belts out the back, that's how I got mine
