Wanted, Holden HQ stud pattern steel rim, 14"

Hi, not 4wd related but hoping someone has one lying around they would like to sell/ give away. I need a HQ stud pattern(5x120) standard 14" wheel rim for a spare on my trailer. I don't care about the tyre if it has one fitted or not as I have the tyres already. Located closer to kapiti/ Wellin...

Re: Opinions on 2000 onwards Pajeros

I have a 01 3.2 DID. Love it. Have 330000 kms on it and still going strong. Mind you I am very particular about servicing when due. I get 900km/90litre tank on highway so very economical when it has been tuned correctly by someone that knows what they are doing. When I bought it I was getting just o...

Re: Another SAS question.

There are two projects on here that spring to mind. One was done by user shitty old hilux in Tauranga. If I remember correctly he did quite a good write up on the swap. Second one was done by a guy on the north shore, I forget his user name. He ended up moving to Aussie and last I heard he had it in...

Re: first surf build.

I have run with a removable pin hook before. I think they call them a chain hook. Have never broken the rope at the bend in the rope at the hook attachment. always broken further down the rope after the splice.

Re: first surf build.

Cookes sell them. Aren't you using synthetic rope? I thought about installing one on my synthetic rope when I converted from wire years ago. I didn't end up installing one because it would damage the bowl of the washing machine when I wash the rope(when the wife is away of course). Also it makes it ...

Wires loop on 16th Jan 2016

Thinking of doing the wires loop on Saturday/Sunday if anyone is keen. Needs to be a very capable truck if you are thinking of coming. I am in a twin locked, winch and caged trailer truck to give you idea of level of wheeling I am looking at. Expect panel damage. See Mudlva's thread for current phot...

Good base for winch challenge winch as you can get a wider custom drum on it as compared to the gq winch

No. The width. The mount bolts are furhher apart on the mq, not by much but just enough.

Wont fit straight onto gq winch mount but with minor mount mods it will. The mq winch is slightly wider. Thought I would point that out to save others confusion or assumptions.

How much cash are you willing to put up as well as your r50? I have a fully worked nothing left to do lwb turbo liquid to air intercooled, pto winch, lifted, fully barred, full leather interior etc etc etc that I might let go....for the right price. And where are you located? I am in Tauranga. 2015-...

I have had luck with simple green in the past with removing dirt and grease stains from fabric seats. I used it in its concentrate state, straight out of the bottle. Don't know about diesel though. It is cheap enough to try it though. Mitre 10 mega sells big bottles of it for bugger all.

1969 you need a front plate, apart from a special exemption for the e types , no car in nz that has been registered since black plates became legal can get away with one rear plate, the last ones where one plate was legal is the old yellow plates which havnt been legal since the 40s or 50s, you can m...

no front nimber plate?

My 69 patrol is almost ready to go back on the road. I am missing the front number plate but have the original rear plate. My question is, legally do I have to have one? And if I do not where is the data or regulation to back that up as I know the wof will try to tell me I need one. If I have to hav...
