Diff ratios are 3.9:1 from factory,
Samurai's are 3.7:1 I believe.

Tyres must be inside the guards or fender flares by law. I think it's there to stop things flying into the vehicle behind you.

The last time the sport was televised was back in 2009 with the Winter Series and the presenter/commentator for that is doing the Extreme Challenge I believe. Looking back at it you couldn't help but cringe sometimes at what he was saying... Interesting to see what the editing team has done especial...

Re: 4.6 rover engine wanted
Its a 4.4L P76 bored with 3.9 pistons in it to make it a 5.0L.
So you could either get another P76 block or a 3.9 block and put the P76 crank into that.

From what I've heard its a 5.0L Rover so getting it welded up would be easier and more cost effective.

Re: Grip Max Mud Rage 35".
Well for everyday use on the road a soft tire will wear out quickly.
Most people usually keep their 833 Kumho's locked in their garage for 10 years before they put them on their rally truck, which only goes out probably 10 times a year for reasonably short distances...

Re: Grip Max Mud Rage 35".
They are fairly new and being a Chinese tire they are probably a bit soft and not good for tire wear.
I'm not too sure about this as we haven't had the Guinea Pigs come back with results yet

Re: Where to buy general grabers ?
They are now running the Mickey T's Baja Claws and the Federal Couragia's now as General Grabbers and the Kumho 833 tires were stopped being produced.
Both of those tires are fairly hard to find now and you would only be able to buy them 2nd hand off someone.

I think it would be best to call the owners and see if their truck is the right one for your needs. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/specialist-cars/competition-cars/auction-691339460.htm This would be good for a bush truck as it can fit a spare wheel and spares in the back while http://www.trademe.c...

Re: Any one know this trials truck
It ran 10" when it had the Bags in it, since the 14" shocks are de-tuned to 10" I guess it wont roll over as easily! :D , The LWB helps spread the weight and (helps it) climb hills and the P76 has the reliable amount of torque you need. It still has had some heavy rolls which once req...
