I just bought rear main seal and sump seal for 97 TJ, on way now from morris4x4center.com - rear seal kit USD$9.99 and sump seal kit was USD$27.89.
Two main places I use are Morris4x4center and Quadratec. Find service and turnaround much better and quicker from Morris though.

Re: Tyres for '95 LWB Vit
On my 4dr Vit I did 235/75R16 and was ideal size...no rub (juuuuuuuust missed) with a 2" Tough Dog lift (no body lift). I used GTRadial Savero MT's and found them absolutely brilliant pattern for the Vit - good and luggy for when crawling and cleared great when spun them.

WTB - Jeep airbox and pipe
My 1997 TJ 4L currently has a Banks Air performance pod filter, airbox and pipe to intake manifold. I'm wanting to fit a snorkel so need a factory airbox/filter and pipe to intake. Happy to discuss swapping the Banks system with someone...great performance system if you dont want a snorkel! Cheers, ...

Ive used Juniors Kustoms and found them good - practical and enjoyed working on my truck as bit of variety from hotrods and street drag things they normally work on. They can usually turn it round fast too as their bread n butter are 9 month builds so dropping them to do a few day turnaround on a jo...

GQ needs new clutch etc - best place in Lower hutt?
Im in Hutt Valley, Wellington. GQ shorty needs new clutch as just started slipping, and steering box seals replaced as just started seeping. I also have two weird things: - when release throttle to decelerate, there's a "thud" you can hear and feel in what feels like the drivetrain. - just...

Re: 2012 Costa Plenty Teams Event 1st-2nd Sept
When I asked about watching this is the answer I got: Hi Matt Are you coming to support a particular team or just to watch the challenge in general? There are a number of hazards based around the hut area that would be suitable for walking to but there are some hazards that I wouldn't imagine people...

In terms of the cluster/guage itself if you get into that side; Parrotts in Chch did AWESOME with mine - I sent it to them the day before the Feb earthquake, their workshop was destroyed/out of bounds but they begged and borrowed tools from people and worked on instruments in temp place in Blenheim ...

Had couple of people look but they wanted it for like 5K
Will probably chuck it on TradeMe soon for something like 9K start/reserve and 10K buy-now, so if anyone wants to be in touch to talk for 9K feel free
Cheers,
Matt

Getting new WOF on it this week, and 3 months rego left. RUCs to 292000K. Just checked odo and it's actually 287k currently not 289 sorry. Only time it blows smoke is if you hold 3-3500 revs uphill or something, otherwise nothing. No pics of interior sorry (and camera flat). To describe: Carpet is i...

Was a quiet one in the end, my mate that was supposed to be coming up bailed, but seeing as I had posted here I thought I better turn up in case anyone else did but no one did so I decided I would go for a cruise up to the tank traps on my own seeing as it's an easy drive to get there. Caught up wi...

Safari diff breather
A branch snapped the breather off my rear diff, it's actually broken the metal ferrule the hose clamps over. It screws into the diff housing.
Anyone have one in their parts truck they dont mind parting with?

New air lines for locker needed
I managed to get a branch (read - half a tree) stuck under the truck up Odlins road last Sunday and before it jammed in ther rear coil it severed the diff breather and locker hose. So I need to source a new fitting for the breather, it actually broke off the metal fitting screwed into the diff rathe...

Re: DIY- WRX SEATS INTO SAFARI/PATROL
I took some semi-buckets to local certifier to see about installation. The safari rails would be used but because the seat base was slightly different width they would need two metal strips welding onto bottom of seats so they will line up with factory rails...suggested waiting until other cert'able...

Cool, cant say I understand the bolt instruction - not sure exactly what you do with the bolt, but replacing the circlip for a split ring is presumably to stop the axle retreating out of the freewheeling hub and back through the hug assembly just like the circlip does. I dont understand why the circ...

Re: Speedo Re-calibration??
I just drove up road with GPS checking what I was actually doing against the speedo's claim at 50, 70, 90 and 100 then worked out how much needed to adjust by (about 5.5kmh) and simply rotated the speedo display with numbers on it a bit so points at the right place. As long as dont mind the numbers ...

Suzuki manual hubs wanted
My bro needs manual hubs for his 1993ish 1.6L Vitara/Escudo. AVM's are $370 and Superwinch not much different and been told 413 ones fit all 1.6L models and better quality. Can anyone confirm this is true, and does anyone know of any available manual hubs, whether Suzuki ones or aftermarket. Cheers,...

Gearbox fluid in TD42 Manual
I find the manual is very tight and hard to work when cold, especially to get into 2nd (1st and 3rd easyish though). With the Bighorn I had that was also really tight I investigated and found everyone I could talk to had changed their gearbox fluid to petrol engine oil and made it really smooth, and...
