[quote="lilpigzuk"]Theres one down the road from my work looking pretty average but complete. Don't see many of these in NZ. Sitting with a bunch of scrap metal, be a shame to see it head that way also. (South Auckland) Where exactly is this out south? I'd like to go ask about the front di...

Re: Roll cage specifications ? ORANZ
The safety standard covers both exco-cages and internal roll cages. True, but none of the four standards that 4x4 challenges accept specifically say much about exos. They are all written from the perspective of a normal cage. So you have to deduce a few things about how the standards apply to exos....

Re: 1994 Pathfinder Build
yeah, that's the issue i'm going to have shortly, may just raise the deck hieght a bit and have a bit more over hang to keep the departure angle as good as can be. A few people have told me to do the same. Make the deck sit high, but i'm just going to keep the little tray at the length it is there....

So, it's been a while since I've posted any updates on my truck. I've been working away at it slowly and made some pretty dramatic changes recently! Re: Roll cage specifications ? ORANZ
Exo cages are a little tricky in so much as none of the rules specifically cover them (not all aspects anyway). There is a little bit of interpreting to do. I have built both of my cages and a mates all to oranz as in my eyes, it's both sensable and reasonably easy to work with. For north island ru...

Roll cage specifications ? ORANZ
Hi all :) Got a question about roll cage specifications.. I've changed direction with my truck's intentions. I'm making alot of changes and now turning it into somewhat of a winch challenge truck. Now, I just wanted to clarify do you have to build a exco-cage to ORANZ specifications to compete in wi...

Re: 1994 Pathfinder Build
With the fans, just incase you hadn't figured it out all ready, you can't just wire them up to run in reverse. You also need to reverse the blade too. The fan blade is shaped to run in one specific direction only. If you look at it you can see the way it is shaped with a slight curve to the blades....

The disc brake rear end will be a h233b/hg43 same as my eurobox assembled mistral. Id say that if it has a towbar it will also have heavier springs in the rear It didn't come with a tow bar but i assume it could have originally had one :) Yeah it says HG43 on the plates & tags. I haven't checke...

Re: Radiator Relocation
I took a small 1/4 bore pipe out the top hose housing and routed it up behind the snorkel, over the roof and into the top of the radiator. End of air lock woes. I know how much heat comes off mine so I'm surprised you can live with it in the back. I've had it running up to operating temperature and...
