2.8 3L Intake Question
Hey guys, i have an airbox and intake pipes from a 1kz. Im not 100 percent sure but it looks as though it will be a straight bolt in to swap out my 2.8 3L airbox and intake pipes. I am asking as i noticed that the intake pipes are bigger than my 3L pipes. Will i gain any advantages for my truck from...

Interesting comments there fellas, cheers. Ive been doing a bit of talking round and my mate can give me all the 2 1/4" pipe for free and also weld it up, my dad can skin the head and also knows a guy who can regrind my cam for me, so I think its gonna be a bit cheaper than what I thought, anot...

Too true mattman, im keen to stick to the 3y and yeh she doesnt do too bad with the 31's that are on it atm. Thats a pretty cheap way of increasing the offroad capabilities of ya vehicle nzlux, will have to look into that.

Cheers mate, Yeh im most likely going to put each part on individually over a space of time, obviously ill get the head done at the same time I put the cam in, but for now ill buy the weber then save up a bit, do the exhaust then the head and cam a little while after. So your truck went well on 33's...

Cheers for that derk, I was considering a carby rover v8 since (like you said) they are cheap, sound good and all the rest but theres the problems like having to change the gearbox since my truck only has the alloy casing model, and then the bellhousing,mounts etc, then a bigger radiator and differe...

Hey all, ive got a standard carby 3y and am not made of money so an engine conversion is out of the picture, im going to work with the engine I have because they are pretty bulletproof and there will be no need for certs etc... My plan is to get a weber carb, get my dad to port the head, get a regro...
