Re: 2wd steering mod for Terrano

If I can get my hands on a couple of cheap s/h adjusters, the basic kit should be around $265 exchange. (centerlink, 2wd tre's and exchange adjusters/locknuts) Or $379 if I make new adjusters (centerlink, 2wd tre's and new adjusters/18mm locknuts). you can use your current 4wd tre's and lh thread l...

Re: Cheap alignment

Na, anything 1992 probably needs a few bits done to be perfect. Old rubber bits get soft even if they aren't worn out, and will make the alignment results inconsistent. You can do the best you can to help compensate for this, but it won't be perfect. As long as you accept this there won't be a probl...

Re: Another newbie jafa

What mods do you suggest? Depends how serious you wanna get. I'd start with 31X10.5's, decent shocks and lift 'er up a bit. Idler brace. Then prolly a decent exhaust and an intercooler. Crank the boost too. Get rid of the egr. With this stuff it'll be pretty capable. From there the sky's the limit ...

Road or MX?
Get a Terrano td27t, cheap as chips and with a couple of small mods pretty damn reliable and reasonably capable off road.

Re: TD27T aftermarket turbo intake piping?

No, he's talking about the intake on the turbo...there is nearly no room forward to the alternator, that's why the stockers have that crappy little cast 90 deg fitting on them. You certainly can't use exhaust bends...
I think you'll just have to squeeze a silicon 90 in there...

Whatever BnT/Autolign can supply (work account). I always liked the 555 stuff, but they are no longer doing it. Probably be Camelot. Re: 2wd steering mod for Terrano

You'd need a 16X1.5 LH thread, and a 18X1.5 RH thread(spark plug/oxy sensor) taps to make "em from scratch, or just the 18mm one to mod the stock adjuster. The cheapest way would be to make 'em from 32mm round, with a couple of flats machined into it. New adjusters ex us are around $us 105 pair...

Yeh, thought of the exchange thing...maybe it could be done with options....like with or without new adjusters (exchange) with or without a brace (and or idler), and with or without new 4wd tre's. I'm pretty flat out with work right now...but I'll look into it.

That's a pretty serious looking bracket, as usual from Tom.

If they're eurethane or rubber, try telling him they are isolators, not spacers. But as far as I know (not at work...) they are ok, we've fitted the 14mm ones plenty of times.
