Re: Australia. Sure, why not????
http://www.vks737.on.net/ This is what i would be looking at for remote communications in the outback . High Frequency Radio Communications. So the ability to actually talk to some one from anywhere . Basically a HAM radio with out the need for a license . Subscriber service $125 a year plus the co...
Re: Transfers
You can tell by turning the flanges in low range , but the difference is slight between the cases. Essayist way to find a 410 case with light is the look for the smaller square sided flanges for the drive shafts . Best way is to open the case and count the gears . IMHO to make a rock lobster is not ...

Re: Bed liner for insides - to replace carpet
I've used both Hippo liner and raptor liner. the Raptor liner wins hands down . Professional product . it goes on easier , touch hardens quickly and retains flexibility to stop cracking . you can also get it in white and add paint to color code to your choice . I found the hippo liner took a long ti...

That looks great, nice and simple but still offers heaps of protection. yeah its all about trying to keep the weight down as much as possible, give good protection , while still looking ok Weld bends make fabbing this sort of stuff quite easy . Re: argon shield transfer between bottles...
If its a BOC bottle , the guy you got the welder from, should logically still be paying bottle rental to BOC ..... Id ask him if this is the case . My experience with BOC is that they normally pursue their bottles as stolen, if an account is closed . Current BOC bottles normally have a printed Bar-c...

Great Info , cheers guys I found Tu's pics from the Toymotor Heres the pics from my old beater hilux. Re: So do have this right?? Winch mounting.
Most importantly the rope needs to be exposed so you can see what is going on. And deal with the rope when it cuts in. Last one I make the fairlead mount removable . Allowing the winch to be taken out of the bar , with out removing the bar from the truck. One of the bolts each side of the fairlead m...

5-600$ in Primer , Paint , Thinners , Sandpaper ,Masking Tape , Filler , Plastic. etc
Assuming you have the compressor , Gun ,some where to do it that can be fully sheeted out with plastic(it goes everywhere) and a alot of time to strip and sand it and sand it and sand it.

Re: Foers Winch Setup
Can anyone give me some details or pictures of their setup? Particularly 1. Distances from the winch drum to first pulley and how well the winch spools up on its own . Re: Foers Winch Setup
For some reason I thought you ran it in the chassis rail , but couldn't find the pics when I went looking .
Did you use a 2nd pulley block down by the chassis or just run direct from the rear pulley into the guide hoops?
