Parts and aftermarket goodies ie bars lockers can be an issue with these ....

maybe better off looking at a 70 series prado, pajero , bighorn etc

check under the battery some have a preheater solenoid which can fall apart and cause fires... there is another post on here somewhere

Have a look under the batteries ... there is a known issue with the fuel preheater system? (IF FITTED 8) ) solenoid falling apart and shorting out and catching fire :(

theres a post on here about it somewhere....

the 90 series is full time 4wd, stop the truck and put the transmission into N before changing anything on the transfer case, the 90 series have a weak centre diff so don't take it rock crawling :lol:

Had one, good economy 750k to a tank, parts can be an issue as they are expensive and not usually in stock. not a very powerful motor if you are doing any towing etc ... found my one struggling with 5 adults into a headwind. on the plus side they have steel diffs Avoid the Mazda diesel powered ones...

Check viscous fan is tight and radiator fluid, heads last approx 250000k so assume you may need to do one when you purchase it, how often has the coolant been changed and the oil changes .... most toyota's that age like oil changes every 5000k, may just be a faulty thermostat as well ... it the cool...

Yeah, had them fix my 1KZ ECU had no problems and they give you a quote first, they can fix other auto electronics as well
