Re: Fireworks thrown into Woodhill causing Fires???
That was about as close to losing the park as we ever want to be. Thanks to all the Norwest guys and patrons of the park for the heroics. Now we have a pile of spent fire extinguishers :x If there wasn't a night run last night at Woodhill then it would all be gone, including the Sandpit Bike Park to...

Just to clear a few things up.......the butterfly isn't the EGR system, it only makes one component of the whole system. By "delete" I mean throw every part of it in the bin. Remove the intake manifold and chisel, scrap and burn the sh!t out of it but be prepared to get filthy. Plate off p...

Delete EGR, major clean out, temporary/permanent boost gauge to check turbo, failing that then look at fuel, unless someone has "adjusted" the pump recently

First question is easy....yes. Small plastic drive that connects cable to speedo. it is about an inch long and white in colour. Easy for it to leap out on the floor when mucking around with the dash cluster. Second question........could be any number of things. I wouldn't of thought the diesel you b...

The AFM stays where it is (post filter, pre throttle body). After all it is supposed to measure the volume of air entering the engine. How you achieve this is up to you.

Re: Transfer case
Just gave me an idea. It should as the RB30 powered nissan patrol gearbox had the same internals as the BNR32. there thinking at the time was to use the patrol internals as it was the strongest thing nissanhad at the time to handle the power, they just redesigned the gearbox casing itself to fit th...

I do remember that they were hard to get in nolathane, so fitted new OEM rubber ones. Rear one kept on breaking link rods or tearing them out of the chassis
Ahhh, the good old days

Re: Terrano tension rod bushes
Crank 'em up. That is why they supply new compression tubes. I have gone away from nolathane and only use genuine rubber bushes. I have heard of a fix for the elongated hole issue, weld a large washer in the chassis. When they wear out real bad, go to a wreaker and get the complete pin and bushes. L...

Should be 28 splines. If the inner cv's are 5 bolt then absolutley Yes. If inners are 6 bolt (3x2) then they could be 27's. This guy is in our club (Norwest OHV) and Shore 4 Wheelers and he sells both spline counts. He goes by Diesel Dave. They will stand up to what ever you can throw at them with 3...

Split the nut
If you want to preserve the threads, cut with grinder nearly through and then hit with a cold chisel (controlled destruction).

Weld 50x50x3-5mm angle to it as a strong back. Problem is then, rather than bend panhard something else will

Petes is now a QD32 8) I have done as Ants and Josh have and never seem to get any drips out the end of the breather. I find that with the return plumbed back into intake pre-turbo the vacuum sort of sucks the crankcase fumes out of the rocker cover and are ladened with oil mist resulting in a heavy...

A theory I have been thinking: the TX12 transfer from a wrecked Safari RD28 manual should bolt straight on to the R30A TD27 gearbox. Which would mean passenger side drop for SAS. I'd really like to test this theory Do you mean drivers side drop :? I have a "hybrid" box that came from a RD...

Re: qd32 manifold to td27t
It will only use afterglow when it needs it. There is a temp probe in the thermostat housing (1 of the 3) that tells the control box if and when to afterglow. All the info is in the TD27 engine manual coupled with the WD21 "bible".

Re: qd32 manifold to td27t
Not manifold heater, resistor for afterglow and uses the air to help cool it. When they are gunked up with black shyt due to EGR they never seem to overheat. May have to disable the afterglow relay and then you can throw it all in the bin. Will start no problems but may smoke and run a little rough ...

Re: TD27T charging issues
Most likely the regulator is "smoked" if the light isn't working with the engine not running and the key on. Often the cause is the rectifying diodes have shorted stressing the regulator. Search around for a new one as the shaft might be worn where the oil seal is from the vacuum pump. Che...
