Re: Chinese 'ARB Knock-Off' Air Compressor - Quality
And for what ya pay arb after sales service sucks. I chucked a genuine locker in the bin because they reckon they couldn't get the cup shims that sit behind the spiders... Went and brought an auto locker. Guys in our club seem to have more probs with ARBs than Chinese ones. Got a friend in Nelson w...

Re: Chinese 'ARB Knock-Off' Air Compressor - Quality
I'm of the opposite view I'd rather go genuine arb locker and compressor The extra money you pay is for quality of materials and testing Actually my arb compressor had made in china written on the box lol Fair enough, We've never had any problems with the Chinese ones tho, so I'm 50/50  I gues...

Re: Installating an Air Locker in the front of an Escudo
You will need 26 spline cv's So does this mean I need a replacement or I just need to have a vehicle w/ 26 spline CVs? Because my Zook fits between the specified years that the locker I'm looking at is designed for. and a RHS cv support bush Is this a part that should be replaced during the install...

Re: Chinese 'ARB Knock-Off' Air Compressor - Quality
So if I run a big enough tank and have the compressor slowly fill that to say 85psi, I should be able to air up from 15psi to 20-22psi ok? I'm thinking of either a 16L or 40L tank from work would be good, however I don't quite know where a 40L tank would go in a Zook

Re: Installating an Air Locker in the front of an Escudo
setting the diff up ie installing C&P and setting preload, mesh and backlash isn't a DIY job and can easily result it the diff eventually going "bang" but installing the diff into the truck once its been set up is an easy DIY job :D So I should take the diff head out myself, then off ...

Re: Chinese 'ARB Knock-Off' Air Compressor - Quality
Do these knock-off compressors have a pressure cut-off. Because I'd like to plumb it into an external tank and run a 'T' from the tank, one end to the front locker and the other to a connection where I could inflate my tyres from, but I'd like to know whether the pump keeps on pumping until it can't...

Installing an Air Locker in the front of an Escudo
Guys, I was just wondering how hard is it to fit a ARB copy air locker to the front of an Escudo. Is it a DIY job, or would I be better to take it to a shop. What is involved and if I'm best to take it in to a shop, is there anyone you'd recommend to do so in Christchurch? Thanks guys

Copied from 'ORE Westcoast Easter 2017' Yup I'm in :D Assuming we can cater for trailer queens. I've stayed at the Reefton motocamp in the past, great spot for a base of operations for that area. Good pub nearby too  Does this mean it'll be complete and ready for the 2017 ORE meet? Hahaha!...

Re: Chinese 'ARB Knock-Off' Air Compressor - Quality
Here's the ad I was referring to: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1150392834 We have 12 Chinese lockers fitted to various trucks in our club and they haven't failed yet. But that is just the locker... We run a lot of these knock off lockers in our club and they do very well. Guys run...

How much of this could be driven in a Escudo on 30's with twin lockers and HD front and rear bumpers? It's a daily so wouldn't be looking for any serious damage if any, plus would have to drive home in it. Last time I did Tailings it killed us, but what's the nick of the track like now?
