On Saturday we got over the Waikaia Bush road from Piano Flat to Shingle Creek, it was snowing as we left  but knew we could turn back at any time, the weather never got any worse with just light snow and crud, took 3 vehicle 2.5 h...

Re: Winch Square nuts
only reason they are square is to stop them turning. ive welded a bit of flat bar to a std nut previously and that locked it in, worked mint I usually wedge a screw driver in to stop them moving, while using the rattle gun Ditto. Just use a screwdriver on normal nuts as well, my square ones went a ...

Hi Warren, a mate took his out of his 185 surf. Simply removed the airbags and bulb and then scratched out the SRS label on steering wheel and passenger glovebox and got cert. Also has a sticker applied to where the airbags were saying airbags have been removed.

Many water blasters will suck though, that's why I bought mine, I can run it wherever I can get power and just chuck the hose in a tank or a creek with a filter.

Re: Pajero Idle fault
There are two exhaust sensors, the cat one and the o2 one. It needs the o2 one as mentioned for fuel mixture.
The cat one isn't reqd, just keep it plugged up but tie the sensor out of the way. If unpluged the dash light will be lit.

No, upping the pressure doesn't help get the film off. Spray the vehicle with CT-18 fleet wash 1st, let it sit for 15 mins then water blast off gets the film off or just get waterblasting then give it a quick going over with the normal car wash brush. I use a Karcher 4.something and it gets a lot of...

Thankfully the day was to get better, much better. We left town wanting to have a quick look at Huka falls, both of us had stopped there but both a long time ago. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/glen_nz/North%20Island%20trip/IMG_2664_zpspoandsvk.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/glen_n...

The next morning dawned wet again but not that wet – just wet so we explored a local waterfall and also went for a short Kauri tree walk in Puketi forest. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/glen_nz/North%20Island%20trip/IMG_1551_zps6thjee2k.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/glen_nz/North%...

Grandad's Series 2
This Series 2 was bought by Grandad way back when, still need to find that out but it was not new when he got it. It was sold new in Heriot, a small village about 20 mins from home. It spent time in Alexandra with family then Westport, however the weather was getting to it so it was 'rescued' a few ...

Doesn't the Nissan pto run off the input shaft so it wouldn't matter? Just need to put pto lever into reverse instead but you will need to raise the fair lead.

Re: Novawinch
look at the reduction gearset rating + the Q stands for EWX9500-Q EVOLUTION runva winch i suspect, and is 80:1 Ratio; 8.7HP Motor; Enlarged Drum so on paper is a way better winch with speed and hp but tbh.. probably blow the gearbox to pieces.. lol Yup, but I think most recommend the normal Q model...
