Re: supercharger vacuum
i'll get up there to drop your transfer case and hubs etc off one day. Haha all good. I forgot about that. Just when ever. its bypass valve and MUST see vac and boost so best to place on manifold somewhere the hose as it closes under boost and opens under vac..otherwise the setup will either bypass...

Re: supercharger vacuum
I always thought it just went to a vacuum port after the throttle body but before the supercharger so it opened the butterfly at idle when there's vacuum there. That's what I was going to try on mine but using a modified BOV instead. I could be totally wrong and I'm sure someone will point us in the...

Re: supercharger vacuum
I'd say the butterfly thing is to recirculate air when it's idling. Same setup as what the supercharged v6 commys have. Stops it loading up on a closed throttle I think. Could be wrong tho.
No idea what the other doofer is tho.

New update is great. Loving the made for mobile style :D My only dislike is that people's signatures and posts are exactly the same size, font, and colour and makes its a bit harder to read and flick thru a post to the last bit I was up to... Reading a post and then a signature and wonder where the ...

Re: Supercharger Boost Calculations
Yeah, the smaller the engine, the better it will be. Yes mine is intercooled, and it manages to keep the inlet charge around 50 deg at full noise on the dyno. Mine ran on standard computer at 6lb for a few years with just a rising rate reg and was thrashed pretty hard with no issues, the only reaso...

Re: Supercharger Boost Calculations
I'm also guessing the M90 will be a bit more efficient for a wider range on a 3.5 as opposed to a 4 litre being a smaller engine? Or is my logic wrong there?

Re: Supercharger Boost Calculations
M90s do seem to fluctuate in boost pressures depending if your model runs coated rotors or not, also later model thunderbird ones have bigger and better inlet ports, then if you use a commodore or buick one they are different again, also different inlet manifolds and intercooling tend to give vastl...

Re: Supercharger Boost Calculations
I haven't looked for info on the commy set up but found a site about m90 on a Lexus using 5 inch crank pulley. If the calculator is right I need about a 95 mm pulley to make 6-7psi. But I Was talking with my brother today and decided 2.8psi is probly not a bad place... My idea is to suck thru the st...

Re: Pajero v6 block cracking?
Me and a few mates all have pajeros and had heaps of those motors without cracking blocks, sometimes they are well in the red on the temp gauge and then straight into the river to cool them down and they are mint. Great motor in my opinion, maybe not the most powerful but go hard and love to rev and...

Doesn't make it wrong either. We only go to private places and the owner knows full well we want to make a mess. I'm not scared of a loss of traction, in fact I prefer it, it's great fun. You 4wd your way and I'll continue to do it my way. I can be sensible at 7500 rpm. All I asked for was some info...
