WTB Crusier 80 Series front diff, 4.1 ratio high pinion
Pulled my axles to fit Speedi sleeves and have notices the splines into the diff are pretty worn so need a couple of front axles if anyone has any in good condition.

Re: Lift Law Changes -Where are things at now?
The sole reason with which I make reference to the heavy transport industry is that their chassis (and engine in many cases) is at approximately the same height as a passanger cars windscreen. I mention this because supposedly one of the concerns with lifted 4x4s is that it can raise the chassis to...

Re: Lift Law Changes -Where are things at now?
With regard to the safety issue of the lifted vehicles chassis being at windscreen height, give me a break. Can any body say Kenworth? Mack? Scania? There are more of these "extra risk vehicles" on the road than there ever will be of our lifted recreational vehicles. It's hard to believe ...

There is an approved repair method for this, having trouble finding the copy I have access to (my work produced the repair procedure many years ago). Speak to Howat Engineering, they have done a few including my truck. They may be able to send you the reinforcement plates for you to fit.

Ive got a SWB body in Warkworth, no rust, inner guards / front clip has been removed from firewall forward as I intended to tube frame the front. Still have the front clip if it was wanted, no reason why it couldn't be re-fitted. $250 would take the whole body.

Ive got this sitting in wellington http://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii25/Doddzee/20130921_130341.jpg It was rebuilt twice (poorly by a engine re conditioner in Wellington) then started excessively smoking at 130,000 km so it got pulled and replaced with a 24 Valve. Main bearings etc were all repla...

So after 4 months the only job I have managed to do on the truck is get the motor on the floor. Have decided I don't have the time or money due to house renovations to put into the truck to get it to the where I want it to be so I'm going to part it out and put the money into the 80 series and set i...

Re: Chassis Crossmember Rust
If you can get in there with an air chisel or air hacksaw with a short blade and get as much out as you can.
Rust treat it and close up the heave.
This is really common on jap import trucks (actual trucks not 4wds) with flitched chassis and is general practice to clean, treat and close.

Not worth stocking up too much on the Heavys. MoT has this covered, current RUC's expire 1 month in RUC licences for heavy vehicles will expire one month after the date of the increase. RUC licences for light vehicles (3.5 tonnes and under) will not expire. Will heavy vehicle operators lose money wh...
