x2 on NOT using MANZ cage tubing for an exo, I did, and it bends and dents like toilet roll tube  lol
Use something with descent wall thickness... unless you're going for light weight, in which case use chromoly

Re: For Tukino

Yup, what DB says...
Ive never used 4wd going up there with the exception on a miserable night in blizzard conditions where we barely made it with 35" muds lol
But that was years ago, the road is getting better and better, on a good day you can get up there in a 2wd road car.

Re: "Jafa's Jalopy"...3RZ-FE and on 40's:)

Fixed all the pics from the first five or so pages, spent hours getting the pics off the server and up to imgur then relinked. So I've only had the old girl out a handful of times lately, but now its at home, not 30 minutes away in another shed, makes working on it a lot easier. Speaking of working ...

I'd be more interested in setting it up correctly rather than worrying about the difference between a USA gear and a Yukon, check this site out for the ultimate setup procedure for a Toyota diff http://www.gearinstalls.com/ quoted from PBB, Hartwig motorsports 8516...... Have a read thru this site... He is also approachable via email. http://www.gearinstalls.com/index.htm I second this, Zuk builds tough diffs, and although he does deviate from factory methods and settings, his nuggets are bulletproof... that sounds just wrong... Just follow his example and yo...

I hear what you're saying, whilst hes done a great job, and its an awesome vehicle, there's something just not kosher about a Subaru powered and 4wd'd Escort....

Spot of real driving skill here....

Reminds me of a chap who raced a white and blue Escort at the Wellington street race many years ago, similar style, spent most of the lap on three wheels, cant for the life of me remember his name...

Just take your ecu to pickapart etc and grab a plug that will fit, there's not that many types that Toyota used, I needed one for mine, think I got it out of a 3sge Celica or something

Help! gearbox bit needed

Hi everyone, need some help to fix my daily driver Surf, anyone got an input shaft for a G52 manual box they will part with, or a whole box that's broken
? Even a Hiace van, or 2wd hilux input would probably work, mines missing a couple of teeth
