I just have both batteries permanently connected in parallel. Have a gauge to keep an eye on things.

In my view simple is good.

Went for a run up the mungatooks today with a few of the boys. Great day.

Sad to see that some wankers had dumped a heap of rubbish. There was even a chest of drawers in the river. Council are looking to close this area.

They are only rated for 200A continuous. Can't really winch thru that.

Thanks Calvin - finally doing this.

The Isuzu chassis measures almost the same as those measurements so it looks doable.

Ashoman, how has this been working for you?

Could you rotate the actuator so it doesn't stick out?

Re: Are they that bad? Opinions on this

That's a good looking truck with good maintenance history. I would probably expect that to go for around 5-6k.

1995 should be a manual pump. Looks like it still has egr on it so look to remove that.

Either are pretty capable stock. The mu is slightly larger and maybe more powerful.

Plenty of spares and mods for both.

Personally I don't think any surf would be the best value for money. Given the basic requirements any stock lwb diesel would be good. Pajero, Wizard, Terrano, Bighorn etc

Are you having a problem with your stock wiring?

If not done properly cutting the factory loom can cause issues.

kapiti Certifier

Looking at starting a new project shortly and will need to work with a certifier. I am based in Kapiti and don't mind travelling but wouldn't be in a position to transport the vehicle. Plan is for a double cab chop and axle swaps and bar work etc. If anyone has worked with someone they could recomme...
