I use a Navman N40i which I have unlocked.... It now runs both the original Navman street maps. And also Ozi Explorer... And calibrated maps topo maps (free except for download data usage) ... Plus can run other applications. Still gets signals in forests.... Cost was about $250 for used navman........

Re: 80 series factory diff locks
From memory the factory set up in KZJ70 (Sqaure Prado) series wont allow you to lock the lockers unless you are in 4wd and low range.
There are tricks to fool the control box.
Also you must be going 5k's or less.
I suspect the 80 series factory set up could be similar.

Re: kzj78 caster correction..
Hi yah I have a KZJ78 also. I have just (been naughty) corrected mine by moving the hole on the forward attachment on the axle down by 14mm...(Cut off flange and welded new one on.) This has the effect of rotating the axle back into position. I used to run off set bushes, fine for onroad work but af...

Hi Yah DJ
Here is a link to a gear calculator where you can plug in your current settings and then in the other change one or more and see what you get.
Found it useful when changing gear ratio / tyre sizes.
