As cool as Quads are and assuming its a G13A . Its a waste of time with that engine.
you wont see any more gains than from a cam / exhaust & SU or Weber
the limitation is the head design and valve sizes.
better to get a G13B DOHC instead . Plane and Turbo

Re: anyone running dual band (uhf vhf) handhelds?
those are Ham radios you are looking at. you need a license and call sign to operate them in NZ . also they only go up to 400mhz transmit ,so won't operated on standard PRS channels of around 477mhz Thought they were 400-500 plus so cover prs channel. Pedro my bad , they go up to 470mhz transmit . ...

Re: radio Channels
On PRS down here we have issues with the vineyards clogging up nearly all 40 channels, especially during harvest, and getting told in no uncertain terms to get off their channel. PRS (477mhz) is a public band . they should not be using it for commercial purposes . there are bands reserved for comme...

a 255 / 85 R16 Fits Nicely on a 7" Disco Rim
I would prefer the 255/85 over the 285/75 as the 255/85 are a slightly taller and skinner tyre. 33x10" compared to 32x11"

Why? All that R&D spent to polish a turd. Compare that to what a standard saf/troll can do with a 2" lift for 1/10th of the money spent. Face it. IFS was designed for on road comfort not off road ability Was looking though some old trip photos and came across this ........ http://i274.phot...

the speedo is driven off the ECU . which receives a signal from the speed sensor on the transfer case .
Have you checked the wiring has no breaks / shorts ?
I would borrow an ECU and Custer to check your loom / sender .

Re: A question for the Samurai, SJ's enthusiast's
you can bolt a vitara front diff head Straight into a 413 or Samurai front diff housing . most people swap the vitara R&P into a 413 3rd member to get a steel housing and 4pinion centre . but this requires a spacer ring as the the vitara ring gear has a greater ID than the 413. to use cromo axle...

Re: lifting a 91 surf with 33x12.5x15 tyres
I recall seeing a post by UBZ, I think he said all he did to fit 33's was a 2" bodylift and a bit of trimming/hammering on rear of front guard. Would maintain factory driveline angles etc so c.v.'s would last longer. Correct . Only a 2" body lift is required to fit 33x12.5x15 . -19 15x8 r...

talk to Rex at http://www.landroverspares.co.nz
he will be able to order a bullbar to suit the 8274.
there is not a lot to mount to on the front of a defender , so custom bar work / winch mount is going to require a lot of fabrication .
