Re: Ln106 wandering steering

Yep it has a lock nut and a flat screw head, relieve the lock nut and if I remember right it only needs half a turn, turn it enough so there's no slop in your steering. Ie when you move steering wheel side to side while truck is stationary there should be no play before wheels respond

Personal opinion really.
You could say its no different to a vehicle that's only 1 year old.
I would struggle to hand over $15,000 for it

Re: R50 terrano anyone using them for offroad?

For what you are saying you want it for it will be fine. Any truck with low range/selectable 4wd will work. I too like the r50s for their onroad comfort, and look cool with minor mods. I've owned one with 31" muds on no lift, no rub at all. Good power with the intercooler td27. You will want to...

Definitely a hard wood decking or signage ply. Its treated with a composite layer on the outside, its hard as fcuk, realy hard wearing and water proof. Or put a layer of fiberglass over ply, done right it looks smart, hard wearing, clean and you can apply any color to it to match ya vehicle or what...

99% are auto.
Plus they are a bit big and low slung for me
The vans are a bit more robust and look better then the delicas.

I've owned 1 before and out of the 20+ vehicles I've owned that's the 1 I've enjoyed the most.
Plus suitable for family, camping, hunting

Yep I bought 1, then flicked it off again, had it for maybe 5 months. Was a cool truck. Had after market 16" alloys, bfg muds. It was an immaculate truck. I just didn't like driving an auto, I don't mind autos but it needs to have power which this didn't. Had bad blow by, would fill up a 750 ml...

I had the opposite problem.
Locking up too early, as well as too early changes, as crash said, play with tps adjustment..

What rpm are the gear changes if you floor it?

Re: d21 auto adjustments

Just an update. Adjusted tps a bit more. Much better again.. I was thinking before the last adjustment, if it's programmed to change at 3000rpm, then the kickdown would be less sensitive, as the computer thinks its doing higher revs anyway so it want kickdown. I noticed an improvement when I adjuste...

Re: d21 auto adjustments

Cheers crash.
I've read u can adjust kickdown on these via cable then I've read some say u can't, is the cable below the throttle cable for kickdown?
On mine its directly below throttle cable on injector pump and goes back into firewall about mid-way, above engine?

Re: d21 auto adjustments

I'm thinking this could be a problem.
Not so much the new ecu but the power/hold switch, the switch itself has power to it, ie is illuminated but there's no indication on the dash itself and the switch does nothing. Power or hold don't affect gear changes, maybe that's stuck in hold?

Re: d21 auto adjustments

Well that worked a treat, adjusted it to get the gears to change at a touch over 4000rpm. No point going higher, still no kickdown at anything higher than 60kmh. All I want is to be able to kick down at 100kmh to disengage lockup and keep it in over drive, so I can maintain 100kmh on a slight inclin...

d21 auto adjustments

So after getting the truck running again I know need to make some adjustments. There is no kickdown at all, so I have to manually select the gears... And at foot to the floor it only revs until 3000rpm before changing in every gear. Lastly, because of the above issues, it won't hold in overdrive at ...
