Re: Terrano LSD servicing

The Diff Shop. I've had others recommend him to me and have used him in the past. Won't be the cheapest, but one of the best. I also recommend Redline oil for lsd's, and I still use it with my e-lockers.

I'd like to tag along if that's OK, I can do friday to sunday. I'm in Temuka so it would be better for me to meet up on the way. I don't have a problem with that, but I'm not running the trip  See you in Tekapo. Calling Taz... are you out there... Dobson?? I'm planning on 2 nights at the McCau...

Before you get to carried away, inspect up under dash where fire wall joins side panel, and all seems around that area. You will have to pull sound deadening stuff out the way, awkward, but worth checking. If it's bad, follow seem down and check under carpet, may not be worth paying someone to repai...

Re: Q about wheel bearing play

Hey, I've been talking to Jason, and sounds like your axel is a similar setup to a d21 Navara. The shims between flanges give it away. Looking at the link that kbush put up (link works for me), page 28 shows the exploded view of the diff. It has a "thrust block" (part# 11) that the axel en...

Yep, pressure plate sorted, been running a "heavy duty" one for a while now, Clutch Systems here in Chch uses a different diaphram spring. Very happy with how it performs.
