Yeah i have same issue,at the moment have them on bottom of chassis rail.
But when ive got stuck there in the mud and hard to get to.
Im probably going to cut holes in the front bar and have them bolted to top of chassis rail

Hey, Have a 80 series and the centre diff lock doesnt want to work? When it was working light wouldnt come on in hi ratio but would come on in lo if that makes any differance You used to be able to here the actuator but now cant here it. Any idea on what it could be or what to start checking would b...

Was onto the castor correction bushes,was just a bit confused about panhards and sway bar extention mount because some 3 inch lift kits have em and some dont

3" suspension lift on 80series

Do you need adjustable panhards for a 3" lift or will oe ones do the job,also do i need sway bar mount extensions or just lose swaybars all together?

Any advice from 80 series owners who have done a 3-4" suspension lift appreciated.

Fair call on the LR, Although the 110 is the ultimate wheel base for a respectable handling rig, the 130 is not overly common here and the 90's are not seen in great numbers either. My mates that have patrols had issues with the valve that activates them.
they put those mac valves in and there sweet.

Yep or all your drive will go to thew front. Get a kit and do it properly. From the guys I have spoken to who done the 2wd conversion it is a bloody good mod, ie they love it. Ive brought a 80 that im slowly moding up for the bush,is it just a matter of putting on manual front hubs to make her part time 4wd?
