Re: 90 Mile Beach

Crunchy trail bit of a no go the local cuzzies are sick of dirt bikes and 4x4 tearing it up. Last time I went there they blocked entrace and put no trespassers signs up and we're flying the flag. There's a bit of a settlement at top entrace ask them first to keep it cool otherwise enter at own risk ...

Re: Lower rim offset FJ70

Not sure on 70 series but rear arches aren't overly big 15x10 -44 can cause it to rub on the outer edge of the gaurd when off road flexing and can damage you tyres and truck A lot of people who have them are more after the look of tyres sticking out past the gaurd lol I recommend a low offset 15x8 I...

The reason I went all terrains is I get twice the kms out of them with good load rating and the truck there on 99% of the time is used on tarmac, construction sites and gravel roads
So no point fitting mud terrains even though they might be cheaper

Re: 185 surf airbag removal

Pretty positive it's what manufacturer says gvm is not what it weighs once you added all your mods
So all lvvta will do is check what's details are on rego which would be what's on car jam

Re: 185 surf airbag removal

Sorry just double checked
This is for MC class vehicle
Frontal impact threshold
GVM 2500kg or more
Manufactured before 2003
So if your surf has a gvm of 2500kg or more in theory you don't have to comply with frontal impact

From memory pre frontal impact for MC class is 2003
Mine is a 97 so 96 is sweet and this is what should get you through cert
It is a grey area though but I stood my ground
