I am going into the Tararua's this coming Sunday, for the day to check out the condition of the tracks and the hut. I will also probably do the "Loop Track" which is in most places pretty hard core. If anyone wants to come along, they will need a reasonably capable vehicle, preferably with...

i think access to that track is "questionable" :? Depends on where you go in from. I can get permission to access that area for 4 wheel driving and up into the Tararua's that is over private property. In fact, I will be doing a quad ride into there in the next week or 2 to suss out track ...

Check back through 1 of Mark's threads when he drowned his auto Safari and had to replace the ecu to get it going again. He knows all about the ecu's and where they are, part numbers etc.

I am running 30 metres of 11mm Dynex Dux 75. Stainless steel thimble spliced into it. 18 tonne breaking strain. $575.00 from 4wd bits. Awesome rope to use and never regretted getting it. Had it 3 1/2 years and no probs at all with it.

Same year and motor as what I have in mine Tony, they go bloody well and seem pretty bullet proof. Not a bad price if he chucks a new WOF on it like he says he will, and some reg too.
