Hmmm, Rancho ah, well alot of people seem to think they are great but we have had no end of trouble with them on the Defender that they are in the shed not being used! They were just 5 way adjustable and were good from the point you could adjust them but didn't seem to be up to the task. 1stly the a...

hi, my father used to tow a trailer when me and my brother were little, back in the days of the CJ4A being the main vehicle. That lettle trailer went everywhere, basically it was the arse end of another Jeep with a box section axle and the same rims that were on the Jeep, for compatibility. Ran leaf...

HI, yea I certainly did notice it slipping. It hadn't done it at all, then pulling from an intersection full throttle 3rd gear, ( i love the sound of the V6 with a big pipe.... :D ), I almost didn't think anything of it cos I was just in the proces of changing gears then next time I was off roading,...

HI, there is no adjustment for Pajero clutches, I have just replaced mine at 80 000km's.

Its not something really simple like the pedal squeaking is it? Get someone to work the clutch for you and get underneath - see where the noise is coming from. :D

Tyres :D My standard are 31x10.5x15 as well, it was the factory size, similar to some which were 265...

Well i just run in 2H, on the road, I live on a gravel road, and sometimes if its a bit skatey I'll put it in 4H (good ol' "shift on the fly  ") It handles very well as it is, even with the rear anti roll bar removed, I had the front one off as well but only for a couple of days, that was l...

Chances are that when the originals are 'wound up' to gain the extra 2 inches, bearing in mind the vehicle has a bull bar, it will create more load on the torsion bars, sure they will firm up, but at the end of the day they are the same old torsion bar under more tension, and if a aftermarket one is...

HI, PRS is for Personal Radio Service and is communications. It is becoming increasingly popular, with the biggest improvement over the more traditional CB radios being the hand held units, they are small and easy to use and work with vehicle mounted units. Hey Pete, what dates were you thinking abo...

Hi Zukin, questions to follow!!!!..... A 93 with more boost, is that a 2.8 then? To go 4 inches, what have you done with the droop on the ifs suspension? When 'winding up' the torsion bars 4 inches I'd guess all droop is lost, or is some of that a body lift? And what tyres are you able to run with t...

Thanks for that. Yea it is a rare beast which is one of the reasons I got it. Goes really really well, very torqey (for a DOHC) as well.

I See your from Nelson, I actually bought this of a Nelson guy, Houston Motors imported it back about April last year, and I bought it last month.

HI Paj 94, Im new to the Pajero owning thing, had my 3.5 manual SWB for little over a month, within the first month I needed a new clutch and the common Pajero idle problem fixed. Interesting you mention about your 2.8 having the factory lift, out of interest this was a body lift done with the 2.8 a...

The easiest way would be to \'wind up\' the front torsion bars to get it to sit level!!!

Basically to lower the back you\'d need shorter springs which would mean a firmer spring and hard ride to keep off the bumpstops which are already close enough!

Hope this helps,

NO worries, I sure would be replaceing with aftermarket ones, give it some time and I\\\'ll have no use for mine, I\\\'d like something softer and more supple for off road. Alot of the aussie guys are going for either Rancho or the Koni, if ya get the right ones it will enable longer travel, current...

And again... Just been out and taken the rear sway bar off. THe original shocks are KYB and also have Mitsubishi stamped on them at the bottom. There are 4 wires running into the top of them for the adjustment. I to find it riding very firm, even on the softest setting, and notice very little differ...
