Ok, I'm not the quickest in the world, hence the nickname (I like shrimp....) but this is what I got so far. It should be fine to bolt on a towing hook close to the chassis rail. Two hooks on either side is better, which makes sence (Thanks G) As for a pair of claws, I am guessing they look like the...

I'm about to have a towbar fitted (once I can find a cheap place to do it). My question is, can I have the tow hook bolted to the towbar? Or does it cause to much of a strain (all that sideways jerking etc)

Cheers mate, it's on the front. I think I will replace it, but you are right I don't do too much heavy 4x4ing. I think a decent "D" bolt on the back should do the job as I don't have a tow bar. There are eyes on the chassis I can bolt it too. Unless some one tells me that this will rip the truck in ...

Hey Guys, I have a question.

While figuring out where I was going to attach a towing hook to my truck I discover that one comes as standard. Not so much of a hook but more like a open ended "U" kinda shape.

Would this suffice in times of need or do I still need to get a proper hook

Does anybody else own a Nissan Mistral out there?

I know it's not 16 feet off the ground with a huge motor etc. But I do have fun on the weekends in it (as long as I clean it before I have to drive the kids round town in it) Hey whats the point in having a 4x4 if you are not going to get it dirty, even if is a "shinny". My question is where do I fi...
