After going to an MVA where a guy had his arm out the window when he put the car on its side and then slide down the road with it on top of his arm I am a huge fan of all limbs inside the vehicle at all times. Wasnt up in the HB way was it? The term for it is de-gloved. As nasty as it sounds. Inter...

I found this part interesting Kedge Grip: Our own unique blend of crushed (recycled) glass and crushed walnut shell particle blended into our full grade truck rubber. Kedge Grip acts in a twofold way; first the walnut shell is designed to come out leaving small (approximately 1 mm) size pits in the ...

Correction, it's Fort Ballance not Howard, my bad. If you are interested just Google it, it has a very interesting history from about 1888 to the 1970's and even later. The locals ignore the Military "keep out" signs and you just need to be mindful that there are cattle and horses up there...

Weights for Hilux parts
Can anyone please assist me with the approximate weight of a circa 1994 Hilux rear door, complete with window. I also need the weight and dimensions (length) of a chromed rear bumper from the same vehicle.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

There is a White LR 110 2 door hardtop parked down by Burnham Wharf in Miramar that I keep meaning to stop and take a few photo's of, looks tidy enough (as I drive by), no idea of price/year/motor though.
It's not on TM (unless its advertised as outside of Wgtn)

Thanks TJ, thats where I found the thread, there was lots of flaming and abuse but thats not to say he didn't have a valid point. I have tracked down the noise to the TC/ Shaft so I'm not so concerned now. Time to drive and enjoy
God damn that thing chubs me up
Apparently I'm the only person that can hear the noise anyway, it's there but nobody else thinks it's out of place.

Hi Pete, sounds like road noise, I thought of the front diff/ TC but thought it would change tone under load, and not be constant I tried putting the transfer case in N and cruising down a hill, couldn't be certain but I didn't hear it. saying that but I didn't want to go to fast without gearing TJ,...

Re: Let the 4.7HO fun begin

It came with a used front hub kit which I thought was odd but I suspect that he cha...

Spent a far amount of down time researching the noise from the front end, - It dosen't change when under load - Dosen't change when cornering - fairly consent The prevous owner was chasing the same noise and the replaced the bearing in the diff and replace the hub, that explains why I have a spare :...
