Re: CODE 43 NISSAN TERRANO R50

the eti systems have more then one way of reading the position of the crank shaft, It can pick that up from the No1 injector lift sensor, and also from the timing advance on the injector pump itself, did your mechanic test the out put of the t.p.s through out the full travel of the pedal with a mult...

Re: CODE 43 NISSAN TERRANO R50

If its the t.p.s it's the t.p.s, fly by wire throttle would put that atop the accelerator pedal assembly under the dash. i'd find it incredulous that the crank angle sensor would fail two years in a row as it is simply a magnetic pulse reader similar to that of a A.B.S system and they are subject to...

three sensors at work there, which tells me you have a wiring issue, if it was a sensor you'd only get one code no1 lift sensor (which provides the TDC pulse signal) cam angle sensor ( its nowhere near the crank shaft) and the injection timing control valve (which is on the pump and why it has troub...

F.Y.I.

There ate three depressions across the bonnet subframe. They are designed to fold the bonnet in half in the event of a head on collision so the bonnet doesn't get shoved through the windscreen. Make sure where you cut is either in front or behind these depressions or it will be a WOF fail

watch your wallet and your expectations mate, the 1kzte is a 97kw engine you can throw thousand and thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of research and labour at it and if your lucky make 30%-50% gains which = net 130kw to 150kw which is pretty low down on the scale of performance, you could...

Looks good, are they to let the heat out of the engine bay? Yep. I converted the a/c radiator into a trans cooler which had a bit of a consequence on the actual radiators ability to transfer heat so tends to get a little bit warm. Bit the trade off is worth it as the trans temp rarely hits 100 degr...

Colder the better. When you start feeding extra fuel into it the egts will shoot up under load anyway . you want it running at normal temperature when it is working its hardest.

Some brands of pads are hard compound and will take some time to bed in.

I prefer to use a softer compound pad and change them more frequently as it also saves the rotors

Via the threaded portion of the oil filter fittings. Jam a super cheap funnel or hose and funnel and pour some oil down it. Its possible that it could be dry and wont pull oil up from the sump .

from memory there is a relief valve on the oil cooler too, but if the relief valve isnt bleeding oil when you crank i'd say the pump collar is broken.. the oil pump is driven off the crankshaft & cam drive gear in the front of the engine, its not uncommon/unheard of for them to not build pressur...
