Re: "Lando" - C79's V8 Disco Build Thread
Bit of price difference.
It's an option I could do, just got to get other stuff done first. And save enough $.
I've got internal bead locks I was going to use but always good to think of other things.

Spare wheel cover also acts as a step for getting onto deck.
Still got to plate side for strength and put chains on to hold it level.

Those rims won't be helping the rubbing. The bigger the negative offset the further the rims are going to arc around to hit on back of arches.
How do you get a wof with them sticking out like that?

Re: What's involved in drilling perches to move front diff?
you can make 35s fit just fine, have a body lift, trim the guards and smash the shit out of the wheel arch yep, I've had 35s on a ln60 surf, so same front end as ln106, standard height springs, 2" body lift, cut guards 4"s higher and used a bfh on the rear of the arches, no rubbing on bod...

Re: 96 v6 surf
That would help. Door isn't flat though, would have to shape it to fit. Was hoping to keep it all flush along side, will do what UBZ suggested, and was picturing the front door bar hinged off exo in front of door and latching/contacting the vertical B pillar bar. So all flush along side. But if I do...

You can get a bracket to bolt onto chassis to take 130 box if needed.
Minimal cost for everything.

trailer leaf springs
I know its not 4wd, In fact its nowd. but might need 4wd leaf springs to replace existing springs. it used to have 1950s PB Vauxhall hubs and rims so thinking springs might be from that. anyway they are poked so after a eye/slipper spring that is 1250 long. most trailer springs are 600-750mm long. d...

Why not make it removable , fit it tight and block the back doors a bit for hardcore tracks and take it out for around town ? hadn't thought of that  . good thinking. sounds like a plan, just have to figure out mounting at top and bottom. if rear door doesn't open when B pillar bar in place th...

Hard to see in photos but it stuck out a lot further than the other bars along side, figured it would get caught up on things and probably just cause more problems. So I cut it up and used else where.

In place, some diagonals to go in to strengthen it up.
Can start building up off it now.
Hopefully clears body when/if lifted up as part of the exo.

Answer is 'the plugs are different' but whole thing looks like it will fit.
And finding out how to reset security code is simple with Google. Had to reset the prado radio, last 3 numbers of frame number did it. Read universal code for Toyota is 320 but that didn't work.

does anyone know if a factory Toyota stereo out of a 2013 hilux will fit into a 2003 120 prado?
both are 200x100, but do they fix in the same? are the plugs the same?
hopefully the security code won't be too hard to sort out. anyone know?
