It now moves under its own power

Only forward and back a couple of meters but it goes, this is the first time I have ever driven it since owning it.
Not much to do now

Well the hilux has brakes for the first time in about 4 years all new pads, shoes, springs and cylinders even the handbrake works, also fitted gas tank and headlights Going to refit the engine out of the parts truck just so I can drive it. It's been to long at least this way it will be running soon ...

Found mine. Was sitting upside down in my parts box so has leaked a little grease out the top. Seems to cycle back and forth ok and I didn't have any issues when it was on the truck. Must be in good condition with no play anywhere
can srtaight swap a p/s box in good condition if wanted.

i have an 82 hilux steering shaft complete still in the truck in Tokoroa, its yours if you want to come and pull it out

left Putaruru at 9.45am did a round trip to Masterton for a parts truck and got home 11.15pm, 1 tank of gas on the way down
