Re: Kiwipete's VX

I have finished with the fitting of the two gauges in the overhead pod and finally have them permanently mounted. :P I cheated a little and used some VHB tape to secure them, then covered the face of the panel with carbon fibre adhesive. It doesn't look so bad when it is up in place. Re: Kiwipete's VX

I have sent an email off to Auber in relation to the temperature descrepency I have. I have yet to get a response, but in the mean time I did a trial with a cup of hot water as another example. In this cup was the temperature probe for my multimeter, EGT, AT oil and Water probes. The pictures should...

Clearing up or confusing Lighting issues with a WOF?

I thought I would start this thread to help others clear up (or confuse further  ) issues they are having with extra lighting on their vehicles with information that has been useful for my situation. In the past I had a Nissan Terrano with five extra forward facing lights on the top of the roof...

Winch safety training

I have been asked to do some research into the safe operation of using vehicle mounted winches for every day use, at my place of work. While I am quite well versed in winch operation(s), I am wondering if any of you have any doccumentation you use for training days etc. Or know of any online I can r...

I just went outside and did a wee trial fit with one of the new gauges; it is going to be really tight in there as far as the front end goes. Thanks guys, I will take a shot or two tonight when it is dark for comparison. I am thinking of doing something similar for some lighting inside the boot area too as there is noting in there. I had some strip LED lighting left over from another project, so I decided it may come in handy one dark night if I ever have a problem under the bonnet. Today I decided to have a spell from wiring and replace the steering column seal. First I marked the joins with some whiteout then a blue pen to make a nice fine line along the splines. It is easy to get the alignment out when re-inserting the rubber joint. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z218/ki...

Bought an 8 way fuse box for all the accessories I will put back in the truck, as time goes by. To power this I ran some 8 gauge wire from the battery in through the firewall and connected this via a "T" crimp, that I had to fashion by cutting a crimp sleeve in 1/2 and soldering this onto ...
