Re: Gearbox swap electric to manual speedo?
Yeah.....bit of a mission  When I did mine, the electronic sender wouldn't come out, so ended up smashing it to bits and removing what was left by taking the transfer housing off and punching it inwards. My tip would be, rotate it first to help break the seal of the O ring. You will need a mec...

Re: Woodhill Night Run Saturday 17th August
A huge thanks to all who worked at making The Night Run a major success. Every paying driver had a huge smile on their faces at the end. Some of the stories would make great fishing stories. 35 or so trucks turned up and everyone had a ball. We got $85 from the sausage sizzle too. A big thanks to a...

Re: Intercooler options
The two hoses that you see are the standard ones off the mistral. They do have different manifolds and the later model garret turbo. I did mine this way apart from my tubes , everything else is standard factory. Makes for easy replacements as I seem to need from time to time

Nice work! I can vouch for all the upgrades
Should be a good multi-use truck by the end. You won't regret the gearbox.
Will be fun to peel off boy racers....at least until 2nd gear
Keep it up.

Re: ***URGENT*** WTB Nissan td27 turbo
Yeah...ha ha. TD, aka Steve said, why don't you spend more and get a custom built turbo? When asked how much, $1500-$2000 was the answer. At an average of $100 per standard unit, by my calc's, that pays for 20 turbos. As I'm only up to the fourth in as many years, i think i will stay with standard t...

Re: D21 Terrano, fast idle after turning fuel screw
Yeah shyt yeah. I normally adjust screw with truck running until idle about 1200rpm then have to work out a way of returning the throttle arm back to idle. I find that both cables limit the travel that far. I have adjusted the cable trunnions (nuts) to give as much slack as poss. Totally disconnecte...

Hand throttle cable travel preventing full return and/or the spring won't return enough.

Answer is fairly obvious, if the pump goes with the same timing gear then it would make sense to keep the "matched" injectors with the same pump. http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36214 Pays to just bump your first thread, than start a new one  Answers ma...

Probably best to keep the gears matched to the pumps. The eti pump may have a different TDC. BTW, have you sorted out the throttle pedal and cable to run the mechanical pump?

Kneadit works great Does it still work at the the bottom of the tank like will it dry with the fuel dripping? Sure will. 2 pack epoxy putty. Once mixed together well, nothing stops it curing. It takes a bit longer in colder climbs. Years ago i used it to fix a corrosion hole in the float bowl of a ...

Re: Turning corners, bumps etc causes a loud rattle from eng
Sounds like diesel knock. As the others have said, water or contaminante in the fuel/filter or (wild stab in the dark) EGR if they have one. Had same symtoms with some Nissans and as they were manuals we disconnected the TPS to disable the EGR system. Worked a treat.
