Re: Rubicon vs Sport vs Overland
Hi all Going through a similar question myself Rubicon or Sport? Two door not unlimited. Most of my driving will be Central Otago rock or coastal Otago mud and clay. Nothing too extreme, but then still want a capable vehicle. I can probably live without the diff locks and not sure if the 44 front is...

Then evolution should weed out the clinically retarded that have no productive or evolutionary value. For natural selection to work, you need a good broad variation in brainpower. We definitely have that. :) The world is overpopulated anyway, population control is what we need. But unfortunately the...

Re: 2WD steering Mod hitting Sway Bar
If you click on the photo it shows it the correct way up. I looked at the thread above and the pics of the Terrano sway looks like it drops down off the bottom arm. Maybe a Terrano one will fit my Navara? In your photo, the suspension is at full extension, have you tried taking it off the jackstand...

Thanks guy! Yes and yes, H233B 31-spline will fit the front. Any LSD from the rear of a Terrano that looks like this. Must be 33 spline if swapping the whole unit So I need 31 spline for the front and 33 at the rear? Theoretically it should be possible to have a twin stick but would require separat...

The diamond in the rough has got to be that gearbox. You've got some quality box, hard to find a box like that, it will plug onto the back of the engine in your WD21. I wouldn't bother with the diffs, same diffs.
Crash bandicoot used to have R20 and will know more about parts compatibility etc

For the canning stock route, or any severly corrugated road: you either have to keep your speed up at 80-90 and fly over it (with less control and less chance to avoid kangaroos that will be doing a similar speed into you!) or get VERY good shocks with remote reservoirs and plenty of cooling. Three...

I was reading a couple of years ago that the Aussies have a preventative maintenance scheme that they playfully refer to as 'NADS.' Up until then, I thought nads was just slang for a big set of sweaty testicles. Wait I'll look it up again.... http://www.mypatrol4x4.com/topic/57-nads-step-by-step-gui...

Some terrano's have a 3 litre engine that has a reputation as a grenade. I believe the EGR system causes it to melt pistons etc. Seems like almost every major manufacturer is the last 10-15 years has had a light duty diesel engine that suffered from catastrophic failure, and it can always be traced back to the emission control system. http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/nissa...

Not sure about your balancing issue, sorry!
But regarding pressure, I had my BFGoodrich KM's 33x10.5x15 on 7" rim down to 8-9psi and never lost a bead, even when being rough, slamming sideways into banks etc (not intentionally like a clown monkey, just momentum + front spool = hold on)

Don't think they will work if it is still the standard 4 link with panhard, it relies on the flexibility of the rubber to allow it to flex. Whereas 3 link with panhard would be fine with sphericals. Cheers Tim Agree... WD21 shares the same rear suspension system, factory rubber seem to last the lon...

Check the airbox, it might have some factory drain holes at the bottom. Sometimes clowns hydrolock/hydraulic (whatever) their engines that way. Although if it stalled, thats what you want, right? Of course its a gasoline engine, hence the intake vacuum. Mind you snorkels are a bit of a misnomer, the...

They are great value for money and very capable vehicles. Not the best economy on the open road but then when one buys a V8 one is not theoretically thinking of economy. The Lexus conversion in the Disco have tons more power and also run approx. 8lt/ 100km less than the normal 16-18lt/ 100km..........

The D22 standard setup is no stronger than the WD21 standard setup. In fact the D22 tierods adjusters are smaller. Its the same setup geometrically. That 'heavy duty D22 steering upgrade' is all just smoke and mirrors. I can tell you from lots of testing that the 2wd draglink (quality, Japanese bran...

I imagine that so long as the draglink and panhard are still parallel (as with any other live axle front coil setup), it would be fine. If the pitman arm drops a bit and puts them out of parallel, you might get some weird steering input in certain situations (bump steer). Yeah I was reading about th...
